This needs to be something good.  Tmobile has made a horrible impression on me.  If they do not get a top-end phone before my contract goes out, I will switch.  At&T = iPhone, Sprint = HTC Evo 4G, Verizon = HTC Droid Incredible   TMobile = ??
These are the phones that will bring in customers.  The Samsung Galaxy S could be the answer.  HTC Desire is also a good choice.  There has been no Tmobile confirmed phones due out this summer except the MyTouch3GSlide (This phone is awful) and the Garmin phone (Most phones has GPS in them, this is a joke).  Tmobile reach out, get your act together, and deliver!

The HD2 is a great phone if you've used Windows Mobile for forever and want the final Windows Mobile device. For the other people, like myself stuck on BlackBerrys or all the G1 early adopters out there who need a new phone but can't get the N1, the HD2 sucks. It sucks to the average consumer.

People didn't mind the HD2 until Windows Mobile came back to haunt them. I've heard a ton of equipment returns on it. Also, you might get pissed when your 4.3'' superphone doesn't have Pandora, an app you had on your BlackBerry that was made 2 years ago. Or you can't even have one of the same apps that your friend with "one of those Droid phones" has. Customers don't care about the OS, they care about the apps. WM has none.

Desire is basically a revised Nexus.  They updated the hardware sensors on it and it has the same great material build (with design changes) of the Nexus. added: Unlike the MTS, Desire is getting Flash 10.1, so a bonus.

Godzilla,

I agree about HD2, but the Desire would be a great device for Tmo. I prefer a 3.7" screen for size and battery reasons.

I called a CSR about an upgrade.  I was told I will be eligable for a full upgrade in October.  The CSR flat out advised me to wait.  When I told her I like the Nexus she said "you should definately wait, we'll have Nexus in stores by October/end of Summer."

I like the Nexus.

I wonder if someone could install the Sprint Evo's firmware onto the HD2, and remove the sprint stuff.

Well I think the biggest obstacle would be radio firmware, and the radio firmware wouldn't work since CDMA != GSM. It'll be great whenever the geniuses at XDA port Android to the HD2, but that's 6 months off most likely.

The Evo isn't that much bigger than an iPhone, but understandable. 3.7'' is also a little easier to navigate with one hand too.

I support anyone who brings about competition and innovation. Be it Google, Apple, HTC, Motorola, Nokia, Samsung, Palm, Microsoft, RIM, LG, Sharp, or anyone else I may have forgot. Variety is great. What's good for one person, is dead wrong for another.

Nice if true. I was hoping that it would be an exclusive...but at this point just not being 6-8 months behind is good too.

From what I've read, Samsung and Yahoo signed an agreement which loads Yahoo on the Galaxy S and all future Samsung android phones inplace of Google

Interesting. Obviously, CTIA took place before that announcement was made, but all their demo Galaxy S' had "with Google" on the back.

No one uses Yahoo. Yahoo, even knows that everyone uses Google. It would instantly hurt Samsung sales to do this.

I just can't believe they would drop their own processor for a competitor's. I will believe it when I see it, but I seriously doubt it.
