:o WOW!  That is a good looking phone!  I really hope that the Thunder has aws too.  Gotta love the Thunder and Lighting names.  Good for forum arguments, what's better, Thunder (Android) or Lightning (WM7)...

Spec shows a microsd slot, which is supposed to be a no-no for a WP7 phone (per Microsoft).  Microsoft change their mind, or messed up spec?

I think Microsoft messed up as there are special options for Memory Cards in the WP7 Developers kit.

Looks like Dell is trying to be a player in the smartphone game, between this and the two Android phones leaked they are definately stepping up.

If I had to pick which phone to get for my birthday, get drunk and lose it at a bar, it would have to be this one.

From what I remember reading about WP7, manufacturers can use microSD for storage but you can't exactly remove it. If you try to remove it, you're going to be screwed WP7 stores a lot of things on the SD card. I can't remember if the OS is loaded on the SD slot too.

I dont think ull be screwed & I wouldnt understand why they'd load the OS on a MicroSD. Hopefully it has the same bootloader.

As for this device, it's very impressive but why would you make a physical keyboard if it's going to be flat with no differentiation for the keys? What you get is the Droid's keyboard, a flat piece of mush to type on. Making thin phones with keyboard is usually always a bad idea because the keyboard ends up taking the sacrifice.

Not a fan of portrait keyboards. Landscape, full 5 row qwerty keyboard, HTC  raised style  is the best IMO.
At least the hardware and design are very appealing.
Q4 might be too late for these phones to make a real impact, a June release would have been a lot better.

I STILL wish the N900 was released with Android.  Well, at least as a dual boot, since I have gotten used to all video codecs, full MAME support, Playstation, Duke Nukem 3D, Quake, playing Flash games off-line, etc :)

Plus, Game Gripper is coming to the N900, since the maker emailed me to confirm it :)

Well, as long as Nokia improved the 2G radio in the N900.  Weaker radio than the already weak Nexus- bleh!

I went to a htc event in L.A I talk to one of the guys there who used to be the editor for phonescoop.com now he works closely with HTC  we had a small conversation he said he doesnt think windows mobile will be out this year. I was a bit surprise not because I cared just because people will loose interest by next year.
