@DamnofThursday....Yea because high schoolers and parents have $300 to blow on cell phones. Fail!! This phone is the most powerful Android phone announced to release this year.

@Mratx512....Start apologizing...It just passed FCC with AWS bands and a T-Mobile model number.

Buddy I'll start apologizing when I see the phone on TMO's list at tmobile.com. Remember how much proof and hype there was about the Nokia N900 ALSO COMING to TMO???
Well, I cant think of any Samsung model labeled Sgh-t__9 that didnt hit T-Mobile.
Addicted to flashing ROMS.

Wow I'm not sure were I went wrong with what I said but that's NO WHERE NEAR WHAT I MEANT. Totally agreed, there's a ton of posts where I say that this is a great phone and that I'm really digging it (and still probably buy it) BUT - and stay with me here - KEYBOARD.

It's all demographics. I can take my G1 to a group of teens and they all say the same thing - too bulky, too wide, i don't like that keyboard, the onscreen is not responsive, i can't play games, etc. etc. However, with the CliqXT, I hear - sweet phone, awesome text, fast messaging, hey can I play this game, etc. etc. Parents nowadays are dropping $300 bucks or more a year on video game consoles, not counting the actual games themselves. This is just an extension of that mentality.

We've just got to accept that one fact - this is the demographic, and TMO is doing an awesome job playing up to it. I'm hoping for a keyboard, but after some sprint fact-finding I'm probably going to grin & bear the Galax S sans keyboard. But then again, I use it for more than games I use it for - and again stay with me - WORK.

I hope this helps clear up the issue for anyone still confused and again, I don't think I purposely meant to bash the GS but to say that parents and teens won't buy it b/c of the price tag is dead wrong. There's people already lining up to buy this and....they're older teens!

How do you equate keyboard with work?  That is where I am confused.  I have a touchscreen phone and use it for work--mainly for email use throughout the day.  I don't know how a keyboard would make a difference for me.

If you work away from your desk and send all your emails through the phone the physical keyboard is nice to have.

On any phone touch is never fully accurate so I prefer the keyboard. I stress sometimes using the onscreen keyboard sometimes.

Stopped by a local TMo Store and was told they are absolutely getting the Galaxy S third week of July.  Further they said they WOULD be getting the pro version.  However, everything they told me I had already seen at one blog or another.  The only difference was their insistence they would be getting the Pro.  They have not steered me wrong in the past, but this time?  I think they are really feeling the heat with the Incredible, EVO and Iphone.  The big Samsung event at the end of month will hopefully answer all our questions.

If they said T-Mobile was getting the S Pro, they were a) Subject to very privileged information because none of the blogged-about rumors include this fact; b) Talking out of their ass.

I'll let you decide which is more likely.

Eh I am just going to get the Samsung Galaxy.  I really need a new phone, and I don't feel like waiting a year for the Pro.  I can deal without a keyboard and flash anyway, lol.

Here we go again, don't need to bring another negative attitude in here but man, we get it practically announced for T-mobile then right there is something bigger and better. Flash and a Keyboard. I mean when is T-Mobile going to realize they are getting screwed by these phone manufacturers. T-Mobile is continuously getting second or third or fourth best phones. Just simply unbelievable.

I really don't know why everyone is making such a big deal about having a flash.  My current phone has a 5 megapixel camera with an LED flash, and honestly the flash sucks!  I never take picture using the flash, b/c it is awful.  I believe, if you need a really good photo using flash, use a camera, b/c mobile technology just isn't there yet with cameras.

i dont know about you guys but i think the att version of the phone looks amazing. i hope hope hope that the tmobile version is at least slightly redesigned, at least without the lame chrome bezel. ill be very jealous if att and sprint are getting nicer looking versions while tmobile is stuck with a version everyone in the world has.

Saw that ... it definitely looks nice. However, I don't hold out much hope. Looking at those FCC documents that were posted the other day, the profile of the AWS version of the phone looks identical to the already released SGS. Whether they use different materials or change the button design, I don't know, but at the very least the outer profile is the same. We're not getting this square version.

I wouldn't say it is everyone, but you would expect the next great phone to at least have a flash. Plus I have flash on my nexus one and it is very useful in full dark pictures and dim pictures. I don't know the quality of the camera on the behold but my Nexus has completely replaced a camera for me.
But then again looking at the AT&T version and the Galaxy S Pro who knows which model T-Mobile we will end up getting. With or without flash. So I rest my complaint till I see pictures of the T-Mobile version.

I'm fine without a flash but I would prefer having it - and I hope that Galaxy S Pro comes to TMO...might be a la Cliq, that first came out with KB and then a month or two later without KB. :)

Still looks like I'm going to play the waiting game a bit longer :(

I agree in that you would think the phone would come with a flash.  The Behold has a decent camera and I rarely use my regular camera.  However, if I want to take photos in dark settings I either use the "night" setting on the behold (it is different than the flash) or I just use my regular camera.

I'm happy with the Galaxy S either way.

A faux, printed carbon fiber back pattern is cool? Looks ugly and cheesy.

I don't understand why it is that we at t-mobile have to spend months speculating if and when this phone will come and then boom all of a sudden from one night to the next AT&T comes out and announces that it's getting it, even posting pictures of the new design.

What's the deal with all the secrecy? Why this whole Samsung "Event" Why can't T-mobile just say yes, we're getting it, it's not really a big surprise anymore.

That really grinds my gears.
