"Update: T-Mobile (in a partnership with Lok8u GPS devices) announced they were bringing the 3FF SIM to US shores back on January 6th of this year."

So... does this mean we'll be losing the SIM card we have now, and will be replaced with this in future phones?

wow.

in my opinion this won't be in cellphones as we know it for many years out (if ever*). I don't think anybody who travels is going to want to buy a phone that only works on tmo in the US.

*This might show in smaller, non-phone devices that operate off of tmo's network such as that watch... or tablets or any other network connected piece of technology.

Since AT&T didn't lose their exclusivity Wednesday and the lame iPad was released, thread locked.
