Android updates on CLIQ?

Has anyone heard any updates about Android OS updates for the CLIQ?  Also, if the CLIQ is rooted can you update it yourself with 1.6 or maybe 2.0?

The cliq's 2.1 update is coming, even if you're rooted or not rooted you can always install a update manually, but always remember if you're rooted you will not recieve a ota update..manual update will be the only choice. if you can find a cliq rom for rooted cliqs..by all means install, install, install.

rumor has it that the cliq update will be coming in mid february.

Says we (cliq users) will be getting the 2.1 update but no date or time frame was mentioned. Hopefully when we get it. It will be right around the time when they release the flash player 10 for Android 2.1 . That is my dream,,, my obsession .. LOLOLOLOL
