I can't get the little bubble that tells you how many unread messages you have to go away sometimes after i read a new message. The only thing I can do that will get rid of it is to master reset the phone. After I do this though, it deleted people from my myfaves and then it won't let me re-add them.

is anyone else having this problem?

first, check EVERYWHERE.. so scroll over to the Messages tab, then hit the All Messages soft button on the bottom left.. then hit the Inbox button on the top right, then look thru all the folders.. another thing i did was delete everything out of all my SMS/MMS folders.. if that still doesn't work, try the unreadtxt fix here: http://pdaphonehome.com/forums/attachments/samsung-i700/2663d1073658589-1-unread-sms-count-fixunreadcount.zip

i did try calling and they keep telling me to do a master reset but it doesn't solve the problem in the long run.

my phone is still running 6.1 because i haven't been able to get the update because i have a mac computer and i'll have to try and use my dads pc.

PC ftw! but no, u dont need to hook it u to your "lack," i mean "mac" lol.. juss click the link thru your tp2 and unzip it (using pocket rar) once its done dl'd (its a very small program/fix).. extract the .cab file to your sd card.. after that hit the program, and let it run its folder check course

in 6.1 that problem exists but in 6.5 it doesnt because it clears all msgs in the thread no matter if theyve been marked or not as read. That fix is very useless you have to run it everytime. So to solve the issue just use ur dads PC & upgrade to 6.5.

i had to use it for 6.5 Viper.. it only happend to me once tho.. it happened when i was txt'n like crazy and then it said i had one unread txt when i didnt.. so i checked all of my folders and maked them as read.. no luck.. i ran that fix.. it said it fixed ONE msg that it fixed.. but i still had that 1 number over the Messages icon.. so i restarted my phone, and it was still there.. so i hit the All Messages soft tab and deleted ALL my txt/mms from all folders, then it went away.. so yea, meh

Temporary fix not permanent. I will at some point research the issue & try to come with a fix via registry or try at programming.
