(First, I'm one of the people who was disappointed that I couldn't get a decent price on a family plan, etc. I have, however  taken a deep breath and will just...wait. Yes- wait. Yep, it's a great phone but within a year it too will be outdated, $99...etc. Happens to all of them.)

I just wanted to share what I think is the funniest, most ironic part of the whole Nexus One launch...

I tried to buy it once the N1 site was live. I kept getting that "Oops, there seems to be a problem..." message that many people saw. Over and over and over again.

I thought, well it must be the fact that the whole world has descended upon the servers and they just can't handle it. Ofter all I am using CHROME, a GOOGLE product so it SHOULD work......RIGHT?

Just for fun, I switched to IE and voila.... it worked just fine! Albeit, the phone was graciously offered to me for $529 bcuz I have a family plan.

...oh and I still can't order a GOOGLE phone with a GOOGLE browser. Just kind of amusing...

PS as a side note, I also tried it from my MT3G and it wouldn't work either. I guess that I must have needed a WinMo device or something....

I had a similar experience but was getting the error with Firefox.  I fired up chrome and my order went right through.

I'm not to worried if at all about the Nexus, its a great device but it will be outdated probably mid 2010 with another high-end offering with a keyboard or even a dedicated GPU, so rush I think we're making the right joice.

Ooooh ok this kind of happened to me but it went through after realizing something.
If it's the 1st time you enter the credit card info for new card, the order will not go through. Cancel/clear you cart and order again and it will go right through. Dunno why but that happened to me on firefox and it worked once i cancel-reorder.

This is pretty funny.  Mine wouldn't work in Chrome, so I had to switch to Firefox.
