lol. i love the iphone but i will not ever get one again unless im with att. til then ill be using my ipod touch as an iphone. lol. but by time it my contract ends android will have really nice apps and very very nice devices. the iphone will always look the same. they cant change it, if they did it would look like crap.
It's because it literally does everything. But for me, the iPhone is starting to get boring. I need something better. But IMO nothing seems to beat the iPhone.

Apps are only one of the reasons it is so popular.

That's sad really. If android had apps as good or at least near as good to the apple AppStore android would be the best thing around IMO. But hats beside the point. I'm going to buy the 9700 the 27th. So I'll come back and tell you guys what I think about it. Thanks for the information guys.

Battery life wise, the 9700 is 50X better. Design of the 9700 IMO is more sleek and eye-catching than the cliq. The 9700 also seems faster. Camera on the cliq is better. Android apps 10,000 vs BlackBerry's 50 apps. The Cliq is a nice fun device. And as I said before IMO BlackBerry's are only good for email and BBM.

And the winner is --! lol. im leaning towards the bold but i cant decide if ill like the 9700. i got my last blackberry from suncom before they where tmobile. i miss there unlimited plans. but i really need a real keyboard, and the blackberrys are way better than the cliqs. but i also like the touch screen. i think ill get the 9700 if i dont like it ill give the cliq a test drive.

You always have the 14 days (30 in CA) Buyers Remorse period, if the handset doesn't come to your liking.

why are you ppl talking about a iphone, this is a tmobile based websited and a blackberry thread we are in, HELLO, lets get back on topic ppl

November 23, 2009, 01:40:03 am
I posted this thread. This may be a tmobile based website but there's an apple section, and an iPhone section. What we are talking about may be off topic. But it does have to do with the iPhone because I asked how the 9700 compares to the iPhone. If you don't like what we are talkng about then make a new post and talk about it there.

i have both, mytouch is a bigger screen, better browser, android market, google nav (free), 9700 is keypad, get emails instantly, you can surf the web and talk on the phone simultaneously, and you can use the 9700 as a modem

would you recommend someone selling their Cliq to get the Blackberry 9700?  I have heard it has a hard time picking up a signal, is that true?

As blacksilva said, we were merely comparing the iPhone and the 9700, so that was on topic.

I WAS having problems with reception, but now I am proud to say it was the BlackBerry. I swapped my old 9700 for a new one and its getting great reception, though the Cliq still had better reception (that might just be my area).
As for selling your Cliq for the 9700, if email and dependence on a reliable device important to you, get the Cliq. BlackBerry's are known for there powerful email capabilities, and the 9700 is no exception. The Cliq on the other hand is power of a "fun" device, if I may say. The Cliq has a better camera as well (5MP) and also takes pretty nice pictures when in the right lighting conditions (same goes for the 9700, but the Cliq picture quality is a bit better IMO). If you're looking for a nice fun device the Cliq does just that. If you are more going to be using the handset for business purposes, or for email, the BlackBerry 9700 will be a great choice.

Both handsets have an appealing look. But no doubt about it, the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is light-years ahead of Motorola in regards of design & look, IMO.

Both handsets have pretty good call quality, but battery life on the 9700 is definitely better than the Cliq. Cliq lasted me around half a day on moderate usage. While on the other hand the Bold 9700 lasts me around 2 days on moderate usage.
