How do you like you 9700?

considering getting one. just wanted to know what the users thought about it. and ill be coming from a mytouch, was it much of an upgrade?

Only played with the MyTouch for less than a week (not rooted). The Bold 9700 is definitely a nice solid device. The keyboard takes some time getting used to, but I assure you its a nice keyboard. The screen is crisp and clear--the iPhone 3GS's screen is no match for the 9700's. It's also the fastest BlackBerry I've ever used. No lag at all. OS 5.0 is very nice with threaded messaging, a UI makeover, and various other  small improvements. BlackBerry's have "mastered" multi-tasking. BlackBerry App World doesn't consist of 10,000 apps like the Android market or 100,000 apps like the iPhone App Store, but it does offer some pretty neat apps. Most of the nice apps are paid. You can also customize BlackBerry's to the fullest. Overall I'm happy with my 9700 Bold. It offers a nice sleek, out of the ordinary design. The Bold 9700 will definitely stand out in the crowd. The call quality is crystal clear, even on Speaker Phone. Only problem I seem to be having is reception. I keep dropping from 3G to EDGE and then gets stuck at EDGE (after like 10 minutes it returns to T-Mobile 3G network again). Also reception isn't as good as it was on my Motorola Cliq or my iPhone 3GS. I'm not sure if these issues are with my particular 9700, but I'm going to get a replacement just to make sure.

I text/twitter/facebook a LOT, so I need a reliable battery life. This isn't my first BlackBerry, I had the Curve 8320, and went to a G1 (and back to the 8320 because, well...).

In my opinion it's a total upgrade from the myTouch from the hardware, to the polished OS with zero lag, to the battery life and don't even get me started on the trackpad.

Oh yea I almost forgot! The battery life is AMAZING. My iPhone 3GS lasts me about a day on moderate usage. This thing lasts me 2 days on heavy usage. Probably around 3 days on moderate usage. This is how every smartphone's battery life should be.

Just loaded a brand new OS onto it. Is working like a charm!

Its good for email. But I think I'd go with my iPhone 3GS.

It's because it can literally do EVERYTHING (if jailbroken). Honestly if I had to pick one of these two devices I would go with the iPhone 3GS. But that's just my opinion. All BlackBerry's are good for, is their powerful email capabilities and BBM is amazing. Not to mention all the new devices have a nice sleek form factor. It was really nice at first but I'm starting to miss my iPhone and its been less than a week.

I seriously need to get rid of this iPhone.

lol. i love the iphone but i will not ever get one again unless im with att. til then ill be using my ipod touch as an iphone. lol. but by time it my contract ends android will have really nice apps and very very nice devices. the iphone will always look the same. they cant change it, if they did it would look like crap.
