First, you probably watch it a lot less than all day simply because it's so boring.  After all, how can you maintain interest in a video where the climax occurs 20 minutes after the start of the show.  Pun is intended but seriously it's the same old stuff over and over.  No disrespect to you but I have advised my children when discussing the issue to grow up and get a girl/boy-friend and enjoy the videos together.  It's a LOT more fun that way..

Second, most of us have jobs that won't allow watching videos of any kind much less those that are the subject of this thread.  8 hours on the job, 2 hours getting ready/eating breakfast/commuting plus lunch breaks then we sleep 8 hours.  There's laundry to take care of, floors to sweep toilets to clean etc. etc.  Even if you don't have a girl/boy friend and continue to watch after the climax you will still not approach much less exceed the 10 gig limit. 10 gigs = 10 million pages of info = more than a human can use under normal circumstances. The limit is to keep people from using the phone for a spam robot by writing a program to email everyone in America with commercial offers.  Unless you have a robot to keep opening new videos while you are sleeping you will never reach 10 gigs a month.  With out the robot once one video ends so will the data flow.  Relax, it ain't going to happen.

Under normal usage you ain't going to even feel the breeze of the 10gb cap, now tethering is a completely different monster i presume.

Sir even with tethering 10GB is a pretty hard pill to swallow.  The only way I can see that is if the tethering is your primary and ONLY method of accessing the internet AND you constantly download files.  Perfect example. Go home and download a program called dumeter.  in the settings there's a spot where you can set it to notify you when you reach a certain limit(which you can set) for recording purposes.  I am using verizon FIOS 20Mbps/20Mbps internet and it took me about 18 days to reach that limit and that's download torrents all day long.......

Also like someone else said EVERY OTHER carrier who likes to claim their 3G networks have been around so long generally oly have 5GB caps on their broadband cards and data plans....I'd like to think if your 3G coverage was so robust you'd be able to offer at least 10GB but then again the reason why tmobile is using the 1700/2100mhz aws bands compared to ATT/cingular is so that tmobile customers could get great speeds on even a new 3G network. I dunno about you but here in tampa when I perform a speed test I get a constantly 5Mbps download speed with around 580Kbps transfer rate....that's pretty sweet for a 3G network that just launched a month ago.  Go ask customers of the competitors of their 3G rollouts were as smooth.

Lol what can I say. The internet was invented for porn! But yeah filling up a 10GB card will be a daunting task. I have 15GB worth of music in my PC and that's a ****load of songs. Basically, the G1's 1GB card is big enough unless you fill it up with music or if you could save apps to the SD card. Otherwise I don't see the reason why to install a 16GB card other than to brag to your friends.

Movies/TV Shows/ETC

Movies, TV and MP3's would EASILIY fill the 15(ish) gigs available on a 16gig card.  Now, if someone was able to make a fast emulator on Java (doubtful) you would then have to load roms too.  Now add apps (assuming we will be able to install on card- if not, the market will be doomed) on a card, and you will be yelling for a 32gig card.

You non-media types kill me. 

I love media. But 15GB of music is a whole lot. If you really need to carry over 3000 songs in a phone with such a great battery life then be my guest.

I've noticed that now on Mobile PornHub http://www.mobilepornhub.com all the free videos stream fine on Android phones, like the G1.

They used to give an error, but seems they figured it out now.  Even works for me on Edge believe it or not..

actually i was looking for a thread on how to create a .mp4 video that would actually *stream* properly on a G1

mobilepornhub / mobilebrazzers.com , etc seem to have figured it out, but ive yet to get one to stream off the web that i rendered.. most progs only make mp4s that work off the SD

Frustrating about Flash vid stuff and Android, since Droid has great 3G coverage, hardware accelration and a great display, but same Flash problem as G1.  Flash 10.1 should fix this for most
