I've had this since the 19th, energy rom running on 6.5.1 (23071) its alright but its buggy, nrgz28 is probably working out the bugs to make it work with the energy rom without glitches for his next release.

I wish I didn't sell my TP2. I should have fixed the problems with the new 6.5 ROM. :(

I guess its time to wait for the HD2

I have had my TouchPro 2 for about a month now and am learning little by little everyday. Have not yet downloaded or installed any apps yet. I want to upgrade to WM 6.5.1 which is the 2nd version of 6.5

Does anyone know what is the exact link in XDA-Developers forum of who has a good stable version of this 2nd version 6.5

Also any tutorial videos on YouTube that will walk you through the entire step by step on upgrading your rom and all that other windows stuff? Any help would be appreciated guys. Thanks!

yes i HardSPL'd it and im currently using the EnergyROM Photon Standard - Nov. 3 (21864).. imma have to backup some of my stuff now since im about to upgrade to the new Nov 8 soon.. and if your wondering,, i never checked out any other Chefs ROMs.. Energy is good enough for me =)

im really scared to put this on touch pro 2.  How easy is it to add this?
its a breeze.. just make sure u have internet on your computer to do the HardSPL.. u only have to HardSPL ONCE.. if u have some files/contacts on your phone thats important to u.. backup using Microsoft MyPhone --> http://thewingster.com/myphone.aspx

Step 1= HardSPL (ONCE) http://thewingster.com/howtohspltp2.aspx
Step 2= How To Flash A ROM - http://thewingster.com/howflashtp2rom.aspx
Step 3= Choose A ROM - http://thewingster.com/tp2gsmroms.aspx

and voila.. easy

umm not really since the Flashing process is automatic.. the only thing i can think of is DO NOT REMOVE THE USB.. they also say take out your SIM & SD card while Flashing a ROM (keep SIM in while doin the HardSPL tho).. they say if someone calls you or something, it can interrupt the flashing process.. but i heard ppl leave it in still (i did on my first Flash)

Thanks J-Hop! I will get started on this over the weekend. I did some more in depth reading tonight and started with the whole Microsoft MyPhone thing as my first step. Someone in the XDA Forums mentioned the following:

Backup your settings with either Sashimi or UC (User Customization). I also provide an example script to use to save your email settings in one of the posts below.

Where do I find Sashimi or UC? Also I would hate to have to do all of my Gmail and Yahoo email settings so how do I carry those over?

Your welcome.. but i never heard or used Sashimi or UC.. Microsoft MyPhone is good for me.. and the email thing is a easy set up, so i don't mind doin it everytime

i don't think Tmo will give u a new one cuhz u void your warranty since u tried to flash your phone with a unofficial ROM.. but like T1 said, there's a slim chance of bricking if u juss follow the directions.
and the pros is that it the "Chefs" takes of the extra bloatware that carriers put on the phones and they might add some flavor to the ROM.. they might also put some extra things on to it.. but the cons are that some of their ROMs can be unstable..
