Yesterday i called tmo customer care and i was inquiring about the HD2, and the rep told me that the rumor around t-mobile is that the unsubsidized price is going to be around$450, but he also told me that it is subject to change by the release date (which he said would be in march). so if this is true, i can't wait!

I can't believe a phone with the specs of the hd2 running win mobile will be selling for $450 UNSUBSIDIZED. I am willing to bet that will be closer to the subsidized price. I really hope your right though.

"In a Twitter post, T-Mobile teases about the HTC HD2 stating that something will be announced next week. The company asks "Think you know the HTC HD2? Guess again..." Next week's announcement would coincide with Mobile World Congress, and we're guessing that the announcement will happen there."

$450 subsidized will sell practically nothing, not even the HD2 is worth that. If they go that far above the $350 price of the TP2 they better have a good reason why. And I am well aware of the specs but that is still a ridiculous price for a contract phone with the competition there is out there.

Agreed. I still think we should expect to see a price ranging from $299 - 350. If tmo offers this at say $250 then they will make a killing.

My money is on a promise of an upgrade to Windows Mobile 7.

Not that I have anything to add. I just thought this would be a swell spot for my first post on TMO News Forum. I came to TMO a almost a year ago because I wanted to try Android. At the time, TMO was the only carrier who had Android. I currently have the G1. The day the Nexus One was released, I came real close to ordering it. However, I just couldn't pull the trigger for some reason. I thought I would be on Android for a long time. I have never used Windows Mobile before, but this phone has convinced me to give it a go. Its such a beautiful device and I can't wait to get my hands on it.

Has anyone typed "windows mobile 7" on google images? If so, I was wondering are these leaked images legit?

I'm thinking retail will be in the 530 to 650 range and subsidized 350 to 400 same as touch pro 2 was.  The Nexus one is 529 retail and this phone has a much bigger screen and Windows mobile which jacks the price up, so I'm thinking reatail in the 600 or more range.  Tmobile could surprise with a subsidized price of 250 or 299, there handset prices have come down across the board lately so who knows.

I have to ask this question. I was just going through some bsck notes on the HTC HD2 and reaized it had been released for several months now in other regions of the world, but not here in the states. I have noticed the same with most handsets and smartphones, "Why is this?" Why can't we have simultaneous launchings in both Europe and the US on the same Date. It seems by the time something finally makes it to our shores it is last years news and other countries are getting this years state of the art. Our Carriers need to step it up.

Yea I was on Ebay already looking at some lol shopping early. I like the gel cases because I think those protect best when the phone hits the ground

Will all of the std HD2 accessories fit the TMO version?

I believe the TMo version is slightly taller (by only a couple millimeters), but it might be enough of a difference that certain cases, etc. might have a really tight fit.

Thats why i believe, the prices should/hopefully be not to expensive.Since it is kinda out dated. But our HD2 will have more features or something more than Euro variant does..
