I hope that this is actually on its way to T-Mobile USA. It will make me drop my BB Storm as soon as I can get one.
Welcome to TmoNews!
My first post.
From what i have read on pdadb.net is that the U.S. version of the phone will have 850/1900 3g and those aren't tmob at all, those are att. So I am a little worried thst they are getting this great and not us. Still going to buy one and enjoy it on edgw if i have to.

I don't even care, though that would have been great. I just want it on T-Mobile USA!

You're right, but I just want to see devices that are able to take advantage of it. We should be seeing speeds around 5Mbps with 7.2, with bursts up to...7.2Mbps. I currently see 1Mbps now.

With this info out about the OS having T-Mobile listing in it I'm 99% sure that the HD2 is coming to T-Mobile.  Why?  Well about 2 weeks ago I stopped by my local corp. T-Mobile store to replace a defective Behold II of my daughters.  While doing the paper work for the replacement I asked the CSR if he had any info on when T-Mobile will be releasing WM 6.5 for my TP2.  His answer was, no he didn’t have any date for the update. But in his next breath he stated that wasn’t interested in the update because the he was excited about the HD2 and was looking forward to it.  I said what???  Thinking he was just talking about a rumored phone I quizzed him about it.  Long story short from what I gathered from him is that they are a test store and that the reps have been by with the HD2 to show the CSRs a few weeks prior and that it will be dropping in the first Qtr. of 2010 (he said by March).  On top of this encounter a few weeks ago I stopped by this weekend at the same store and talked to another CSR to ask about the WM 6.5 update.  No date on when the update will be released was the answer.  So I asked about the HD2 and whether he has seen the phone.  The answer was, no he has not seen it, but a few other CSRs in the store have seen it.

With the info that I have picked up from my local store and now the T-Mobile references in the dumped ROM I’m confident that the HD2 will be coming to T-Mobile.  Now for when and how much I don’t know.  Hopefully by March 2010 and at a price that is not outrageous.

Cool, video. The bootup screen shows the tmobile slogan "stick together". Isn't that a slogan that only Tmobile US uses? One more sign that its coming state side soon :)

yeah the boot up video shows the "stick together" slogan for tmo usa.

watch the video and pause it at 6:58 and u can clearly see that is says T MOBILE and its the tmobile logo for tmobile usa because the one for tmobile uk has more dots after it.

I remember reading somewhere that WMo phones are excused from the anti-tether policies regarding smartphones. If true does this mean the wifi router feature is likely to be left intact when we get the HD2? Truthfully it is the ultimate feature a phone could have for my lifestyle and I'm really hoping it comes my way. I would love to jump on the Nexus train when it rolls through but to my knowledge I wont be able to tether with it [or at least not my PS3... cant install client software  :'( .] Someone wanna break down android tethering options for me in case I get sick of waiting?

Even if the Wifi router is removed by T-Mobile, you can still load it up via the cab file.
