Touch Pro 2 ROM update on HTC website.

The ROM update just went live on HTC's website according to engadget. Does anyone know if the ROM will work for a Tmobile Touch Pro 2. Waiting for tmobile to release a ROM update ....

This is what I got when I entered my SN:
"Sorry, this software download is not suitable for your device."

this update is for the WWE Europe version

If you have hardspl this can work for you...but if you dont then you have to wait for tmobile to issue the update.

Problem is the SN T1 no one couldnt even download this unless they had a valid serial #.

I used this same S/N from XDA-Dev...sure must look funny if anyone/anything monitors the HTC download server -- this one guy downloading the update dozens/hundreds of times!

Download?  Yep, I just did and am about to flash.  I'm sure it's not better than custom roms based on the same build, but I was going to flash a new one anyway to fix a problem, so why not at least look at this stock one.

Once you flash the EU WWE ROM, would you also need to flash a TMO US radio ROM?

I had no problem with the new radio, works great in US T-Mobile

No, the OS ROM (i.e., WM6.5) doesn't touch the radio-ROM, just as the custom ROMs at xda don't touch the radio-rom.

OK, I've flashed to this HTC WM6.5 ROM...that part was briefly weird/scary.  At 9%-flashed the PC progress meter stopped (which isn't unusual by itsef), but on the TP2 it went back to the bootloader screen for a second or two (OMG!!) then went back to the progress meter at 9% and proceeded.  Never seen that on a custom rom flash, but apparently nothing is wrong, so maybe that's normal.

It looks like WM6.5-based custom ROMs I've been using...will test for a while, but I'm sure it's fine.

How's the memory with the EU WWE 6.5?  Without the TMO bloatware, should have more free mem.

boots at 53% but also enables Push Internet Pages, so need to turn that off LOL

New radio: hmmm...maybe I was wrong in my earlier post about "not touching the radio".
What radio do you have with this new HTC rom?
I have the 4.49.25.17 after flashing, which may be a new radio, but it's also the radio that I already had (flashed to it a few days ago)...so that's why I thought it didn't change.

No, it's a European, Engish-language version.

If you try to download it you'll need a serial number given in a post a few back.

everyone on tmo usa should get this update, it is very fast and stable, plus everything works. only issue i have its manila 2.1 not 2.5, but wow this is the best rom out there cooked or not. Get hardspl and you wont need a s/n. and upgrade via sd card way simpler then pc upgrade.
