It has been bothering me for the longest time that my $500 blackberry cannot do what my 5 year old Nokia brick phone can... That is, ring AND vibrate at the same time. I found a FREE app that fixed it for me. Just thought that I would spread the love with the community. :) The application is called "BuzzMe". Make sure you set your profile to tone only (not vibrate + tone) for the app to work. The OTA link is: "http://www.bigtincan.com/misc/BuzzMe.jad"

you can search for that in app world too.
BuzzMe has been out for a while now. You could have came in the forum and asked for it before you tried so hard. But its nice that you solved your problem.

update, to make it vibrate and ring at the same time, and use a mp3 song, you need to instal Buzzme http://www.bigtincan.com/download_mobile.php, once instaled set the "Call vibration Lengt" to " until stopped", and then go to Profile/option/phone an set the "Out of Holster" to "Tone".

And now, to use a custom mp3, you need to crop a mp3 file to a 300 kbs, or so, if the mp3 is to big, the phone will not play it

PS (sorry for my English)
