3G in Indianapolis update?

Can ANYONE give me ANY update about 3G in Indianapolis?!  A tentative date? A proverbial "indianapolis sucks, so you get NOTHING"?  SOMETHING? ANYTHING?! lol

Since Indy is spread out I assume that it could take up to a year to cover the Indy metro area, similar to what happened in many other cities and what will happen here in St Louis. 

yea...but usually the immediate area of Indy is covered....i live IN indy...like....465 is the highway surrounding Indy...i live 2 minutes from it...literally.  i think i'd be safe to say i'd be covered.

Anybody been havin network issues in Indianapolis?  Every mornin I uncheck the "Use 2G Network Only" box on my G1 to see if we might have 3G, and apparently forgot to turn it off, but about once/3-5 mins my calls have been dropping.  Almost like my phone is trying to connect to the network, but the network is blocking the traffic right now.

P.S. - I live off of 465 n Pendleton Pike just an fyi

I've been having data issues the last couple of weeks.  Lots of timeouts, no connection errors in gmail (even when I have a good signal and the edge icon) etc.

I leave the use 2g only off all the time so that could be why.  I've been having this problem not only in Broad Ripple, but I was up at Fry's in Fishers last weekend, I was trying to look up prices on the net for something before buying and kept getting timeouts.  I flipped use 2g only on and was able to look up what I needed.  So that is likely what is going on, handset trying to connect to a signal it can't connect to yet..

I have not had any problems with calls dropping though even with it looking for 3g.  All of my issues have been data related.

Hoping the wait is almost over..

@lp894 - has it seemed extra flaky today to you?  NONE of my background notifications have been working, no gmail notifications, no twidroid updates etc.

yea....it has....and it's really pissin me off lol.  but i'll be happier tomorrow when I order my TP2 :-)

That's funny man!  Sincerely hope you get 3G this year, I am but will switch to VZW or Sprint to get it.  Was able to waive ETF on all 5 of my lines so NO MO TMO come 25 Aug 09!!!!

Doesn't matter, they are shutting off my lines with my last day on 24 Aug 09.  I appreciate your concern but it's time for my business to move on.  I still use my G1 and if I see 3G before 24 Aug I'll gladly admit that t-mobile was more concerned about my market than I thought they were and would reconsider but come 25 Aug I'll be on Verizon or Sprint.  I'll miss the T-Mobile CSRs as they are the best but won't miss the lack of signal and am looking forward to high speed data. 

i'm stuck with GPRS signal today....anybody else having issues with their signal?

Whoa really?  Yesterday when I woke up I had no edge, not even grps on my G1.  I even called a local store to see if there were problems in the area (guy told me he had data @ castleton)  About 1pm I picked up grps and then edge about an hour after that...  They're def doing something.

Interesting...my sister-in-law said SHE was having network issues earlier last week and she's on the west side.  anyone have a TM506(i think thats the model of the phone) that they can check to see if the 3g network still even shows?

That seriously pisses me off lol.  Flip the FLIPPIN switch!!!!!!!!!!!!! My sister-in-law works for a corp store, said a Network Tech told her the towers are completed, it's just a matter of turning everything on.

When I called about the data issue over the weekend I had to ask the guy about 3g (obv) and he said the last tech he talked to last week said 99/100something (he couldn't remember) towers were complete.
