Check out engadget.com or engadgetmobile.com for the article I read. Pretty mad T-Mo isn't picking this up. =/

Eh tmo UK has it, wonder if its gonna be google sourced or htc sourced...if it is no sense ui for sprint, with them being a OHA member.. getting ota updates has to be a "G'' sourced thing.

im glad t-mobile passed on the Hero. it has superb software and pretty good specs but the hardware and its "power" are horrific. the phone is way too sluggish. also, its fatter than my Grandmother. and it has a chin longer than Jay Leno's.

how about HTC makes an update to the Touch HD, puts Android, AWS and a T-Mobile logo on it and ships it our way?

I actually think the Hero is a sleek device. I wouldn't mind having one, but I NEED a device with a full hardware qwerty.

Armo that would be killer!

I was thinking about ordering the hero from clove. The unboxing looks really nice from pocketpc. Too bad it's sluggish =\

I've actually seen quite a few videos of the Hero in action. Personally, I don't see the "lag" as much of a problem. It's like that with every new platform and it has MASSIVE potential. And as someone formentioned(my apologies for not checking the poster before writing this), they can improve it with updates. My G1 has been lagging really, really, really bad the last couple of months. Also, I don't think Sprint will do anything to this phone, negatively, that is. As far as I know, they don't have a history of demoting phones' features.

the question is will sprint gimp the specs like how we gimped the mt3g...
They're gonna have to they're oha members, sense ui phones won't be able to get ots updates if they do get sense ui that's means tmo is going to be the only only ones issuing ota updates

They can have it, my sources indicate that T-Mobile is working on the "next generation G1" slated for release in 2010, my sources are accurate, as they're from corporate.

i just hope the ui on that phone is close to the sense ui!
No longer w/ T-Mo USA w/ Sprint now...BUT still love this board & the peeps!

Sounds good and all. But I'm sure by the time that rolls out, several carriers will have several Android phones of equal or larger impressiveness.

Everyone seems to talk about the UI and not the device itself. Reviews have not been too good.  Needs keyboard- badly.
