People with this problem on any mobile phone should do the following - before switching the device on (if it is already on, switch it off immediately) then:
1) Shake dry, then remove the worst of the fluid from the handset with something absorbant like tissue. Dry with a hairdryer if you have one.
2) Remove the sim and battery (if possible). Wipe these dry and leave them in a warm, airy environment.
3) Completely bury the still-open handset in rice, ideally in a warm, dry environment. If the phone was submerged completely then you might consider replacing the rice with new fresh rice every few hours.
