That's fan made.  There is no Thundercats movie coming.

I hope this thread wasn't some inside joke I just blindly walked into.

DAMMIT I didn't finish watching the video where it explains that it's not real...  I lost.

This thread is like a year old...

Now I'm wondering how you found it...  did you just search the word 'porn'?

I think it's good.  More carriers will mean more development.  The Sholes will be a google experience phone, and so will Sprint's Samsung Moment.  The moment is f-in beautiful btw.

All things Android / Re: Verizon announces Android deal

Yeah, I thought the reason that the mytouch wasn't getting the HTC UI was because it was a "Google" phone...

Pretty sure this was HTC's call and not Google's.  They are getting the Hero, so it not a Google branded device.

I think the real question here, is whether or not it's more lucrative for HTC to develop custom UIs to Android and release devices on Sprint, VZW and Att, rather than "supplying" google with the hardware to brand and release the standard Android UI on.  Could we see 1 or 2 Google branded devices and 10-15 HTC Android devices...?

Apple / Re: iPhone 3G cases. What do you use?
« on: September 12, 2009, 11:43:04 pm »
I'm super late to this, but I've used IS, BSE and Bodyguardz, and for me, Bodyguardz wins.  The least amount of Orange peel and yellowness.  It comes with 2 per order, and lifetime replacements.

I also have 5+ different cases.  It became an obsession for a while.  Off the top of my head I've used the leather backed griffin, the incase slider, the wave, the otterbox, the switcheasy rebel and neo, the flick, and an iclear like case.  Know what I'm using now?  NOTHING.

Theyre all sitting in an f-ing tupperware with all the screen protectors they come with just collecting dust.

Do yourself a favor and buy some damn insurance from squaretrade and dont worry about scratching your phone.  Seriously.  It's a phone.

Check out itsmemorphious on youtube.  He does case reviews.

Two year contracts for a phone that's EOL in ~ a year.

idk what job i got yet my recruiter said we dont pick till near the end of bmt.
Are you serious? No way I would have joined the navy if I didn't get the guaranteed job I signed up for when I took 1st oath at MEPS. Unless you get free choice on pretty much anything I guess, then it's a different story.

AF doesn't do guaranteed jobs anymore, unless you are part of the "exceptionally well qualified program," i.e. you were a paramedic, or have a technical degree of some kind, my questions was a feeler.

It's not very hard to "find" people to join the AF.  We don't need to offer signing bonuses, guaranteed jobs, or any other incentives to sign up.  Recruiter quotas are around 0-2 a month depending on your location right now.

oh ok i hope my family can make it to my graduation. idk what job i got yet my recruiter said we dont pick till near the end of bmt. thanks for the tips i will try not to stand out and just do what i need to do. so the clothes i bring should just be like plain?? what will i do with all my stuff here at home?

Plain clothes, blue jeans, t-shirt, nothing to stand out.  The AF will have your belongings shipped to wherever it is you will be stationed.

hey im leaving for bmt on november 17th. im gonna have thanksgiving, christmas and my birthday without my family :(

will i be able to bring my 360 or at least my hard drive and games with me to bmt??

and what happens if u get warhawk for everything?? i got no problem with the push ups, sit ups, and pull ups but on running i barely got 9:20 something and i ran it hard but with practice i should be able  to get 8:55

No... and nothing.  Bring what your recruiter tells you.  It's like a change of clothes and thats pretty much it.  They take all your stuff from you on day one or two and put you right into your uniform and give you this credit card thing to go buy all your toiletries... which is actually just an advance on your first paycheck which is pretty much half a bag of peanuts.  Don't wear identifiable clothing, don't shave your head, don't have overly long hair or the barber will yell at you for taking up too much of his time.  Just be normal.

BMT is just that. BASIC training.  Nothing that you accomplish in BMT will have any relevance to you after BMT.  You're learning how to follow directions and how to identify who to listen to, customs and courtesies, some weapons training, Physical fitness training, and just generally getting beaten down.  Don't fight it, just listen do your time and get the eff outta there.  It goes by quick if you lay low and don't draw attention to yourself.  Don't try to out do anyone, don't try to achieve any of their "goals" (which change from year to year, I don't even know wtf warhawk is), don't try to step up and be a "leader," no one in BMT is a "leader" of anything.  There's just about 5 guys who will have it 100x worse than the other 25 people you're living with because they are getting yelled out for everything, and guess what, it doesn't get them anything special when it's all said and done.  Focus on following directions, don't suck, don't be a douche, and you'll be fine.

Don't go crazy in Tech School either.  Happens to a lot of people.  They leave BMT and all of a sudden they forget they can't get stoned, drink underage, or mouth off.  Blows my mind.

Also, make sure you have your sh1t straight before getting to your first base.  I hate it when I get some new Airman that all of a sudden forgot you have to wear a tie with a long sleeve shirt, or wants to wear his jewelry all over the place.  Makes me want to throat punch some b1tches.

What job did you get?

That's what I'm saying though, do you think that if handset manufacturers started putting actual HD space in their devices, Google would allow an apps2sd solution?  I mean, if the reason it doesnt exist right now is for fear of app sharing, and internal HD space was a way to solve the space issue and still maintain security.  Do you think Google would just go back on their policy?  I don't think they would.

General Android Questions / Re: When will Android
« on: July 17, 2009, 06:09:50 pm »
Oh I'm used to it.  But I'm also sick of it.  So many of the threads on this forum are Android v iPhone.  Its retarded.

13
Well, what if manufacturers just start throwing some HD space into their devices?  Would you still think it's coming?

When will....

People stop caring about the iPhone?

15
Man you guys are really hung up on this Android vs. iPhone thing aren't you.

I'm thinking about picking up a Hero whenever it makes its way over here.  Whether it's on at&t or Rogers, I'll probably pick one up.  It looks to be a winner regardless if it has the Apps to SD capability.  I hardly use any of my "big" apps anyway.  The majority of my phones space is taken up by music, not apps.

What if a cell company CHOOSES to not make a CDMA version... or include AWS freqs... is the Government going to force them to?  Both sides of this coin are touchy.

If the DOJ is anything like the DOD, they leave it up to the individual sections to decide what and who to use.  Legally we cannot force any organization to use a certain provider.  It violates fair and open competition.  My organization uses Nextel for cell service, at&t for Blackberry service.  We are the approval authority for personal wireless devices in our... area... however all we can say is "yes this will work," or "no this won't," we cannot say "you must use X or Y."

Head over to afforums.com if you need any serious info. Those guys are kind of ********s if you repeat questions without using search and will rip you up if you don't use proper grammar and stuff.  Actually maybe not postig and just reading is better

glad you decided to join my Air Force.  Are they still doing guranteed jobs?  What do you want to do?

I went through when we were still using laminated  green dd form 2's as ID cards. But I'm sure you will get yours during zero week. Your first week at bmt doesn't count toward your 8 weeks. It's all just inprocessing stuff and paperwork.

Bmt was fun. It was only 6 weeks when I went thru but it was still a lot more fun. I know a few TIs and they said that hey focus more on training now than the BS yelling and yellng they did when I went thru. Should still be a lot of fun
