Its going to my parents place but my lil brother should be there to witness the power of G1...I may pull rank and require him to wait for me to open it.  Its no biggie, I think I'll just let him go buck wild and that way he can show it off at school ;-)

Can someone confirm if they are able to still use tzones on a unlocked unbranded smart phone?

On my E71 the tzones no longer is working, giving me data connection unavailable error

No worries bro... I am glad we are having multiple confirm this...does it matter what line you add the G1 to?

I think I will have to add it on my 2nd line instead of my primary since its for my brother...I am keeping the E71 for now

Wow that is great to hear...so you are saying get the $25 plan and it will still leave on my $10 bundle as well?

Yeah I made the customer service rep confirm with her manager twice, so as of right now yes..that is what they say..

I checked as well and they documented my account as well...this looks to be confirmed

Ok good news...if you have family time messaging bundle already added, do not get the $35 option, only get the $25 option.

Once that line goes over the 400 messages, the unlimited bundle will kick in so go ahead guys...be safe and be cool

Looks like we are going to be ok

As soon as the site is back up you are good to go...I called the CS rep and she actually documented my account to make sure it all works fine

I hear you on that brother...I am calling them again now to get a clear answer.

I can't afford to lose the $10 plan...I send out over 2K messages per month only one my line.  My brother is in addition to this

Ok...can anyone confirm if this works with unlimited messaging?  From what the rep told me, I would have to lose my current $10/month unlimited messaging for my 2 lines and add $35 for one line and then add another messaging plan to the other line.

That makes no sense to me at all...so basically I will pay $35 for data and messaging for each of my lines...1 for my G1 and 1 for my Nokia E71

No i'm sure they ment 35$ for the G1 then you must add another 10$ for your e71 just get the 25$ one for G1 and add the unlimited 10$ for the other phone and just txt mainly on that one... or do you only have 1 line?

I got 2 lines but my brother and I are big texters...I am getting mixed information.  I am calling Tmobile again now.  Someone else called and they said that if you add the $25 android plan then you can still keep your $10 unlimited plan.

There is another person who checked with tmobile and they got a different answer...I think if you add the $25 plan instead of the $35 one then you are ok

Ok...I had same question as you guys since I have $10/messaging bundle for unlimimted on my family plan.

The CS rep told me that once I add G1, I have to add messaging per line and that I can no longer have unlimited family messaging.

I tried tell her that was absurd and way over priced but she said the G1 is being treated like the sidekick and it has its own plan unique only to it and that do not go with family stuff

Could a tmobile employee please confirm cause this is pure crap

I live in a non 3g area that won't have 3g anytime soon. I am eligible for the 179.99 price and am out of contract.

Also the data stipulation is so silly. Its a 3g phone. 1gb is attainable for someone who is on their phone all the time. I hate that!

Grr tmobile! Grr!!

My theory that I'm hoping is correct is that the 25 data plan will not affect family messaging and your current messaging plan will overlap and cover your phone. My guess comes from that being the way it works with At&t. Bad reference but its all I have to go off of.

From what I understand this will knock off your family messaging bundle and you will be forced to add messaging to each line individually.  Once I heard that I could not give them my money.  Until they release some kind of family messaging bundle that will work with G1 also I can't do this

Yah but I don't think you can have both SIMs activate at the same time...its one or the other

Yah the price should no more than $50...it might be good for a start-up business but it probably makes more sense to have a phone as well

I think the device should have wi-fi as well

Maybe there primary market is business owners...rather than spend a couple hundred on a blackberry and have a voice and data plan it might be more cost effective to only spend $100 up front and only $20/month

I think it would be great for T-mobile to have this service but it would certainly require them to get a few decent semi-high end phones.

I know for me, I would just use my current E71

I think it would be great to start it off for free or something very insignificant and then to create new plans once people get a real feel for it.

It would be awesome if businesses could jump on the tmobile band wagon
