Honestly speaking, I think Google did the smart thing here releasing it the way they did. There is saying that goes biting off more than you can chew. What does google do well right now? We all know about gmail, gtalk, gcal, maps, etc and how its all linked together based on your email.
So they designed an platform, the OS and focused on what they know best. Now you can call this a cop out but at the same time its genius. Look at google as a new company that has never done an OS or at that a mobile OS and now they boom pop something out. At least with that fruit company, they already have a working OS so you would expect a level much higher than crap when apple released an iphone but with the simple feature of copy paste missing, it does tell you a lot about their OS.
I honestly think that the 3G network will be solid since its pure 3G not shared with anyone or anything else. HTC already makes a great phone and really none of their phones don't have a 3.5mm jack. So buy not including it they were able to use existing hardware they already have and pass the costs on to tmobile and us the consumer. Google, do I really need to say anything here. Please tell me of a crap google software.
I think the reason behind the app answer for everything is quite simple, Google hasn't created that type of app yet and rather than wasting time on it, like I said before, they stuck with what they knew.
Also the A2DP will be out soon, as soon as the security issue is resolve. I was suprised to see gtalk on there as this has a similiar issue.
All in all, I can't wait to get it but I didn't sell my nokia. My lil bro will take this phone and I will stick to my "normal" non touch phone with full qwerty.
