Are you saying that closed source is more profitable???If they went Android there wouldn't be a problem because its open source.
Wow. Open Souce equals stock value ... ???
Sorry, but that makes no sense whatsoever.
Like I wrote earlier to T1 when I saw that video. I remember hearing something about Google Chrome ridding of HTML5 but Microsoft would provide a Google Chrome plugin for the support as Google Chrome was heading towards WebM as its platform. All HTML5 tests did terrible in Google Chrome. While IE9 RC excelled these. Google Chrome nor IE9 are safer browsers because I still get pop-ups in both of them that could lead to damage to the desktop. Google Chrome has more stability as of right now. I'm not saying IE9 crashes because it doesn't like IE8 but there are glitches still. IE9 RC beats Google Chrome in the Sunspider JavaScript test now. I do find issues w/ flash in IE9 more than Google Chrome. But Flash has been glitchy. I want to just rid of it & make sites go Silverlight. When it comes to hacking tho Google Chrome gets first place.Interesting, i'll keep that in mind. What do yo think of safari vs ie9 on html5, i refuse to put that in my notebook for a test....
So basically it depends on your skill level and preference, but the tools that you use expression and visual studio are the best right now....... is it really easier to develop on wp7 than other platforms ..
That's a loaded question. Some devs like more flexibility in the way they structure code and some like the abstraction of a framework that lets them do stuff quicker. Objective-C (iPhone) is related to C/C++ and is "closer to the metal" than Java or .Net, which both rely on a framework. I could tell you what my personal opinion on that is, but that may or may not be representative.
The initial learning curve for .Net and Java is probably not as steep as with Objective-C, but that only goes for absolute beginners (most devs that start mobile application development probably have some kind of knowledge/foundation in some related language).
One thing I will say, the IDE for .Net is the best there is (Visual Studio/Expression) - nothing compares to it.why are the really good apps taking so long.
define "really good" ??
