I have it. They gave me a nice deal. I wasn't gonna be outta contract until September. But i've been a customer since the early OMNI Point days, they gave me a all the above & waived a months service.

Look at the speaker, it's so small.

I compared my HTC Sensation to my Behold 2. I have to agree the whites on both phones are diffrent. The Behold 2 lookes better. I think it's a better screen than the HTC. The Behold 2 has a AMOLED screen if i'm not mistaken.

Got my phone today, I've been playing with it a little bit. I set my emai accounts up & various other things. It's very fast. pretty responsive. It has apps to SD built in which I like. I downloaded a bunch of my apps to it.

I'll post more in the next day or so, I've had a horrible day & need sleep.

Behold II / Re: worst phone ..

I'm finally ditching the Behold 2 & charm on Monday. I went back to the Behold2 a few months ago after the charm started going hay wire on me. I had many gripes about the Behold2. One of them was the key board. I was able to buy a custom key board that I was able to make the keys bigger to suit my fingers. That made using the phone more pleasant.

2nd was the memory, it sucked. I had about 22 apps on the phone at any given time, but if I needed another one I would have to rearrange things. Heavy data apps like E-bay would weigh the phone down & I was always getting low memory reading. Low memory on this phone would screw everything up. I wouldn't get texts or calls. I was always emptying out the cache on unused programs like swpe & tele nav to try to squeeze more bits out of it. Finally I ditched the e-bay app.

3rd, after Samsung screwed us all with the updates they promised us I decided I will NEVER buy another Samsung wireless product again. I'm going back to HTC. I have always been extremly happy with HTC products.

I called in on Thursday to see where I was as far as an upgrade. I was about 3 months out. The rep I spoke to you was able to give me a full upgrade now due to my long tenure with the company dating back to 1997.

The phone cost me $249, plus the $50 rebate drops the cost to $199. The CSR waived the shipping, upgrade fee & also gave me one month of free service. I took the 2 year contract with insurance this time around. It made no sense to change my plan. The plan I have now gives me 5mgs of highspeed data, the cost is pretty much the same.

I'll have the phone Monday evening.

I got you all beat. I started with Omni point. I was one of Omni points first 2000 customers in NYC back in 1996 when I signed up for a pre-paid phone.

MY local news in MY did a story on it. There was also a segment on FOX business channel as well.

I really hope there is an anti-trust suit filed. I really don;t wanna go from one crappy net-work to another crappy network. To be honest, this could work out for T-MO customers if At&t retains the CSR side of T-Mo & doesn't screw the long timers out of certain things. Once I hit 10 years  with T-Mo they became very genorous & than when I hit 15 years they basically have givem me anything I have ever wanted at next to nothing prices. It's really the only reason I stay.

So there goes my nearly 16 years of loyality starting with Omni point. I doubt At&t will honor any past loyality agreements.

The dorid pro is sweet! As usual, T-Mo gets the short end of the stick.

I've had two high end Sammy phones & one low end Motorla, all on the Andrioid platform, I like the Moto better. If the Charm had a better Camera I would like it even more.

I'll NEVER buy anoher Samsung phone because of the Behold 2. The Charm is light years better than the Behold 2. The charm is an entry level Android phone, but Motorolas hardware is light years ahead of Sammys.

Charm / I got the charm
« on: September 28, 2010, 12:46:32 am »
It has pros & cons.

Pro (for me) the hard key board, it's pretty fast, call qualitly is very good.

Cons, The camera is 3MPG & lacking a flash, very low rent. The screen is TERRIBLE. Colors are washed out & it maybe the worst screen i've ever seen on a phone period.

It's a damn shame that Motorola cheaped out on these two important things. I can only hope the next version of the Charm is better.

This was the close but no cigar for me, The lack of a decnet camera killed this phone for me. Too bad too, because this is excatly what I was hoping for in a phone, Andriod/touch screen with a hard key board & a lagre expandable memory. Oh well, maybe the next time.

Sprint uses a sim card right? So I could go to Sprint & still use my Andriod phone, right?
