T-Mobile Services / Uncarrier plans...
« on: March 26, 2013, 04:36:22 pm »
I am up for an upgrade in less than 30 days.  My wife's phone still has 13 months left.

If I change to the new family plan for both lines at the time of my 'upgrade date' what will be the ETF fee to make the move for both lines?

T-Mobile Services / Re: Does Value Plan require contract if i BYOD
« on: December 21, 2012, 06:15:38 pm »
I was just in a TMO store 2 days ago talking about Value plans in 2013.  The store mgr was adamant the Value plan will require a contract (even with BYOD)because "of the low rate".

She may be wrong for sure but it was what she said.

Customer Service / Some company stores don't sell some products??
« on: August 09, 2012, 07:43:08 pm »
Went to a Company store today to look at the new Note to upgrade my wifes POS Vibrant like the loyal TMOB customer I am....  "Sorry" says the nice store rep " we aren't a big enough volume store to carry that phone"  (What... the store is only in the highest traffic area of the city).

"I can ship it to you but can't show it to you"

So, I went next door to the AT&T store who was happy to show it.  Now, all I need is that end of contract.....

Who is the idiot in TMOB sales planning who dreams up this stuff?  Can't give the store 1 functioning unit + some propaganda so maaaayyyybbbbeeee they could get the volume up?

TMOB really needs a new sales & marketing group.  I'm convinced.  And I actually drove the extra miles to this store because TMOB closed the store I used to go to.

Tech Hotline / Re: Asurion question

And I think Asurion limits you to one claim/account per year.  If my memory serves correctly.

The limit on the premium handset protection bundle is 2 claims per 12 months.  See:

http://www.tmobile.com/mobilesecurity

Thanks for clarifying this.  I don't think it includes fraud though....

For what it's worth, my recent experience with CS will probably keep me being a loyal T-Mobile user into the AT&T days (even though I cringe at that thought).

I have been having problems with my BB9700 for 6 months now (documented) and finally had enough of the phone (have been BB for 5 years now).

Stopped at a store to check out the phones, then called CS (said "loyalty" on the interactive) a CS Supervisor answered, proposed options which included upgrades or replacements and then told me about a better rate plan while we were talking.

At no time did I feel rushed.
