T-mobile 3G / Re: T-Mobile 7.2+21Mpbs (HSPA+) Rollout
« on: January 11, 2012, 12:02:42 am »
Oh geez. Those speeds are better than mine but I still got this 14.4 phone that needs replacing.

They use usually two band block ranges within 1700 its like 1715-1725, 1735-1745 I think. I would have to look at the board again.

LOL. I already posted here and didn't notice LOL. My original post was correct LOL.

That is AT&T's fault. They did not build any of their networks efficiently to give the consumers the best possible results. They could always pull 2G services off 1900.

Eh. I wouldn't. It is a nice phone. However, you could do better. Except like Jet said it just wouldn't be my cup of tea.

Windows Phone 7 / Re: HIGH END WP7.5 DEVICE PLEASE!!
« on: January 10, 2012, 04:11:23 pm »
Eh. Like that would happen LMFAO. I'm serious it seems iPhone and Android occupy the market and its not going to change anytime soon. But we know T-Mobile is not known to get the high end devices most of the time. However, if T-Mobile ever wants to become #1 they will need to switch their game.

Yup that is true too. I was very occupied to even think about that.

Customer Service / Re: No 3G coverage in my area!
« on: January 10, 2012, 04:06:54 pm »
Ouch. There is barely any 3G coverage in the area @ rwt4jc. I'm not so sure if that area is of any importance to T-Mobile at this moment. However, I do have news for you much of the 2G in the area will be at least converted to 3G but in the meantime plz wait it out if you can I know it may take awhile but u'll also need a 3G 1900 capable phone to take advantage of the future network the 2G signal you receive today will be most likely the 3G signal you receive in the future. Whats your WCDMA signal inside the home and when you walk outside. Just goto dialer and hit *#*#4636#*#* -> Phone Info and find the -??? dBm and Asu.

@Rfutscher I have no idea whats going on in your area. The coverage maps can be misleading at times. But it may be time to replace that Sony Ericsson TM506.

I do know 3G/4G comes out of the WCDMA radio so its either or your going to get 3G or 4G. The 3G/4G signal could just be very weak inside the home. I would like you to go outside see how bars you have of 3G and then inside and report back here. Another problem could be whats used to make the home you live in. 1700/2100 does not broadcast as good. For one the network isn't as much built out as 2G is and second the higher frequency is hurting it.

I'm sorry but T-Mobile isn't going to release anything as major as the big 2 anytime soon.

Your zip code?

It extends the contract end date always. But it does not make you wait longer to upgrade on Classic.

Apple / Re: iPhone starting to work on Tmo HSPA+ via PCS/1900 bands
« on: December 25, 2011, 10:41:44 pm »
That was already known early this year. It has been clued out in many articles especially the one that talks bout LTHE from Nokia Siemens. T-Mobile would've done test markets before January 2012 before CES when they announce HSPA+ 84. I have a feeling HSPA+ 168 may be coming even sooner. But of course the iPhone would've worked and yes 2G will be gotten rid of by T-Mobile pretty pretty soon and we will know when that happens exactly. We will get letters.

96
Adding 2 lines just starts a new contract on those 2. Each line has their own contract end date.

97
Yup. Just can't wait to see what happens to them by Q3 of next year.

UPDATE 3: CLEARWIRE CORP. HAS FALLEN BACK INTO LEVEL 2 OF 1.96.

UPDATE 4: Dec. 28, 2011
               CLWR = 1.91
                     S = 2.25

98
SPRINT NEXTEL CORP & CLEARWIRE CORP. Have been having money problems and I think it is time to begin a tracker of when they will actually both will file for bankruptcy.

As of December 20, 2011, CLEARWIRE CORP. Has hit below 2.00 on the stock market. SPRINT NEXTEL CORP. is heading there. This causes concern on how much longer Sprint or Clear can last. My estimated timeframe is around 2013 for both. However, a file for bankruptcy may come sooner from Clear. Stock is UNAVAILABLE for LightSquared. However, it is seeming more likely they won't be able to get the company jumpstarted.

This is very interesting LightSquared owns 59MHz of spectrum in the 1500MHz band. Now wouldn't this be an interesting purchase for T-Mobile USA? Because BANKRUPTCY is where LightSquared is heading towards as well.

If T-Mobile USA were to do the following: Buy LightSquared Spectrum, Partner with DISH NETWORK in exchange to give customers access to that band/Sell Satellite TV and Google to invest in the 4G network and deploy their fiber. They would be making a sweet deal. Once Sprint is in less value next year suck them up and automatically make an agreement to sell 10 to 20 Million subscribers to MetroPCS and maybe some spectrum or an agreement to Roam to make them have a better subscriber base. They could choose to just sell all the Prepaid subscribers over.

I am kinda pissed at LIGHTSQUARED because my idea partially got stolen for SAT/WAT 4G/5G Network. But they did not take my entire idea because later I added SoPL technology to the specs and it used a combination of bands to achieve the best service and the radio would've been able to make use of Satellite/Tower/SoPL signal at the same time and connected to multiple frequencies using something similar to cognitive radio tech.

Now this is my analysis. This also doesn't mean anything will happen but I will keep everyone watching this thread posted.

UPDATE 1: CLWR (Clearwire Corp.) WARNING SET: LEVEL 2 = 1.88
S (Sprint Nextel Corp.) WARNING SET: LEVEL 1 = 2.36

UPDATE 2: Some stupid person named Stanton threw $5 Million into Clearwire increasing its value. Looks like over $3 Million has been lost so far LOL.

CLWR (Clearwire Corp.) WARNING SET: LEVEL 1 = 2.03
S (Sprint Nextel Corp.) WARNING SET: LEVEL 1 = 2.33

UPDATE 3: WILL BE BACK ON DEC. 26, 2011 AFTER 4PM EST. I thought I would give them 5 days to see what happens and yes I know i'm very early.

"Req’d for rebate card: 2-yr. agmt., new activation, and Classic Talk + Text + Web plan OR Web service of at least $20/mo. Download form"

You'd provided it yourself. If you add something other than Unlimited Talk you can remove the Text but if you don't you can't. You will not get the rebate if you don't do the Web part. Having web on a smartphone is required and if you remove it well your taking your chances. I have never tried this before while it worked for some I hear. I am not sure where it stands now.

A rebate usually takes 2 to 3 months. You have to keep DATA that long.

Usually $10 DATA Minimum applies; NO Text Required. Text messaging is something that is bundled on Unlimited plans and not a la carte so you can't remove unless downgrading to something off of Unlimited.

In this deal it states the Unlimited Everything plan is required. The deal requires 2GB or more plan on each line this phone is added too.

So you are stuck. Switching off to another phone may and changing the Data may just make T-Mobile say you forfeited your contract and charge you fees.
