Tmo will shut down the MetroPCS towers down in the next couple of years. Tmo will mainly only use MetroPCS spectrum and customers. Maybe a few towers. But if you don't have Tmo HSPA+ in your area, who knows when it'll reach that area. Call Tmo Technical Support and tell them your issue.

Yupp. Just go to a Tmo Store and pick one up. I might pick one up to hold me over until the next Nexus this fall/winter. Hopefully the next Nexus blows me away. The N4 didn't. I'm still using my GNex.

I have a good feeling ATL is close to launch since its a big market. Seattle/Bellevue is Tmo's HQ, but it hasn't launched here yet, but it has been spotted around here.

T-Mobile is GSM/HSPA+/LTE, which equals SIM Card Hot-Swapping. So yes, you can place your sim card into the next phone. If they're different sizes, either cut it, or have a Tmo Store Quick Transfer to the new Sim Card.

That's the "normal" price/msrp. The Google Play price is somewhat "subsidized". Like how Tmo's iPhone is somewhat "subsidized" (~$70 cheaper) from the Apple store price, even without a locked down 2 year contract.

Yeah, I guess I'm just not in love with my options that have both PCS and AWS. I was considering the Nexus 4, but it has a few elements I'm feeling like I don't want to deal with (the limited internal storage and glass back, also to a lesser extent the mediocre camera).

So the One X+ was seeming like a better alternative to me.

I'm surprised that they would not be rolling out PCS at a higher power. I thought the whole point was to get iPhone users? If people are only getting mediocre 3G reception it doesn't seem like it's going to be very effective at luring these customers.

I'm not sure why its like that right now. I'm not sure if that's WCDMA/3G fault or if Tmo has the power lower for whatever reason. Hopefully that can be addressed in the near time.

As for AWS+PCS HSPA+ get either the GS3 or Note 2 since the N4 rubs you the wrong way. And i'm not sure if AT&T's HOX+ supports AWS HSPA+ also.
