Phone face-off / Re: iPhone 4 vs. All Other Phones

Terry my apologies.

Nexus, I really appreciate your comparison breakdown. You may have just sold me to stay with t-mobile, because you are right, my plan would easily cost me $50-60 more a month with At&t.

Coffee, thank you!  I had no idea that the G2 and Galaxy had those features (multi-tasking, multi-touch) and stacked up that well against the iPhone 4 with the processor.  My knowledge is so low about Androids, but I'm really liking what I am hearing.

Phone face-off / iPhone 4 vs. All Other Phones

Are all of these new phones G2, HD7, etc. just second rate to the iPhone?  I love T-Mobile I have been with them since they were Voicestream, but I may switch if none of these phones can really compete with the iPhone.

The better processor, three-axis gyro sensor, multi-touch, multi-tasking, video calling etc. are all really attractive features for the iPhone priced at $199. These new phones are estimated to be around the same price and a lot of the features are the same as the iPhone 4, but through my LIMITED research it seems like the iPhone 4 has the edge in a lot of categories.

Am I wrong?

Upcoming Phones / Re: I need your expertise

I primarily use my phone for texting and emailing, because as Funk pointed out that is what it does best.  However,  I would use my phone CONSTANTLY for web browsing (espn, cbssports, etc) if it had the capability.  I honestly think that if I had 4G speed and apps that made life easier and more enjoyable (sports, video, navigation, financial apps, dining etc.) I could compromise and move to a full touch screen.

I really like the G2 and had made my mind up, then saw the new Samsung Vibrant, Tab and MyTouch.  I guess from those 3 which would you choose?

I greatly appreciate this feedback!

Upcoming Phones / I need your expertise

Right now I have the BB 8900 and it has been great.  However, for the past month I have not been able to scroll up, because my trackball is jacked up. I have tried all the techniques to fix it to no avail and I'm not taking it somewhere to get it fixed.

I need a new phone and I have been trying to hold out for as long as I can, because Tmobile looks like it has some really great phones coming out.  However I am running out of patience with my BB 8900, but I know that I want my next purchase to last me a few years, as my BB has.

I would like an android phone. What do you recommend?  Should I wait until Christmas, for some of these new phones (HD, G2, maybe the iPhone)? Which one is the best?  Is the Galaxy just as good as the new ones? I am attracted to the G2, because my life is on Google.

Thank you for your feedback,
Kyle
