General Android Questions / MT3G Work E-Mail Problem
« on: August 15, 2009, 10:53:26 am »
Hello all,

I'm having a problem with my work e-mail app on the phone. It won't allow me to set up my exchange 2003 account because it says the certificate is bad. But when I download Touchdown it works fine. Do you know if there is a way to make it so the work email program accepts the certificate anyways?

Have you long pressed in a text box yet and selected the touchpal keyboard?

3
Also have to agree that the TouchPal keyboard is 10x better than the HTC keyboard

4
If you didn't know swiping down on a button will type the symbol or number listed on that button and swiping up on a button will type an uppercase letter

5
Search "touchpal" in the market and you will find a free download for the application. Very cool application. Better then HTC keyboard

So I pre-ordered an accessory online and TMO told me that it's not shipping out till the 5th when its released in the stores so i said why do i have to pay 6 dollars extra in shipping when i can go to the store and pick one up instead of waiting for it to ship. so for all you that pre-ordered an accessory, call tmo and complain about it not shipping till the 5th and theyll tell you to refuse the package and youll get refunded

My battery has been fairly poor, I can barely make it through one day without it going dead (I only talk on it for an hour each day since I got it + some web use), my wifes is a tad better. I called T-Mobile, the rep said that we should have "conditioned" the batteries first (apperently they are aware that some people are having issues), he told me to let them run all the way down to dead a couple of times and keep them charging for 2 hours after the light goes green, if that dosent work they will look into another fixes (possibly swap), we will see  :-\

One thing I did notice..my wifes unit battery had a plastic "divider" that had to be removed to start the unit, my had nothing...is it standard that they should have the plastic on the battery?

There should have been plastic between the battery and the phone

Are you putting the file into a folder on the sd card? Or in the root location?

I only have one friend on latitude and want to add some more to see how it works. My email is mike.gorman87@

Thank-you so much for finding this. It makes typing on the phone so much easier. This  keyboard should have come on this phone. The only thing I've noticed is that the calibration doesn't work and crashes the program

Here's another question for ya. When I get an email, I'll get the notification and read/delete the message and like 5 minutes later I get another notification for the same email even though I deleted it

MyTouch 3G / Email app notification question
« on: July 31, 2009, 12:15:07 pm »
I have set up in the email app that came on the phone an IMAP account with my school email. I receive the e-mails but I noticed that I don't always get the notification like I should. I did some experimenting and when the phone had 3g service and i sent a test email, i got the notification within 5 minutes. when the phone was in edge or gprs, the notifcations never come and in order to see if i have a new email i have to actually go into the program.

Is this supossed to be this way?

I noticed the same thing too. Sometimes when typing a text, the response is very slow and laggy. I also get the thing asking me to wait or force close. I also noticed that when exiting apps, the "desktop" takes time to reload and be useable again.
