Cliq Discussion / Re: Morrison Could Trump the G1 If.....

I'm loving what I see. The screen seems slightly smaller, but the color depth is increased. Everything else seems just plain out right better.

Not had much experience with moto phone cameras.  The Cyanogen build I use on my G1 makes the camera far better.

T-mobile 3G / Re: How is your 3G?
« on: October 06, 2009, 09:40:20 pm »
I am commuting between Rockford, Dekalb/Sycamore, and Rochelle IL area.

Rockford's 3G coverage is below average at best. It is a somewhat hilly area, but it would seem the only way for me to use it is when I am driving, which is obviously a bad idea.  Where I live at, I am stuck going in and out of GPRS/EDGE/3G All usually about a bar of service.  Where my parents live, it's the same thing. Slow EDGE and 1-2 bars. This is in a very very busy part of town. (Rockford is decent sized)  Calls, no problem, data use, blah!

DeKalb/Sycamore area seems strong. I noticed a small part where I went in and out in a small residential area.

Wish they would extend it out along 38 and to I39 and up to Rockford.

G1 Discussion / Re: What's Your EDGE & 3G speed/ Video Request
« on: June 05, 2009, 02:18:56 pm »
Well, I don't have a video but a screenshot.

Matt, that mobile speed test is incredibly inaccurate. I am on an EDGE connection and it was saying I was faster than a T1

I don't know the guy, I used one of his builds before and liked it.  I guess some people just can't handle the internet. You have to learn to deal with the vast amount of jackholes on this planet.

G1 Discussion / Re: increase maxx volume on your g1

V2 is definitely louder and hurts my ears a bit. There is some distortion at that level. I'm going to check out V1 now.

Gonna stick with V1. I suggest going from V1 and up if you feel you want it louder.

Well, I do know today in the Rochelle, IL area, signal was FAR weaker than used to.  Has to do with updates you think?

Radio works fine for me. In fact I notice a much better reception.

I used Ubuntu to format mine.

Sweet idea. Hope it's executed well. Good luck!

Partitioning was a little tricky but I got it finally.  I think I did it right and my apps are on SD, but being the ignorant one, how do I know for sure? Also... I am stuck like rush though, I have the default recover image. How do I reflash to get this image back on?

I've done it all. Trying again with a bit of a different approach when loading ROM...

I have since fixed that error myself. But now I am at the point of loading the customr ROM and it's been booting for at least 5 minutes now. Is this normal?  I have followed these directions EXACTLY how they were typed. Even in the beginning where it's wrong. (Only to fix the mistake myself)

I notice right up front you said to put the file "DREAMIMG.nbh" on the root of the card. But, the file that is unzipped is "DREAIMG.nbh" I renamed the file but nothing happens when I follow your instructions. Is this a typo? I just get a fancy colored screen with some text on it that means nothing to me and it just sits there.

G1 Discussion / Re: OTA Cupcake 1.5 Official
« on: April 30, 2009, 11:00:00 pm »
Maybe since last we actually heard, we will start seeing OTA updates tomorrow. May 1st. But in all reality. I can see the dev phones going first and then a couple of weeks later. This way any devs who have phones can test their apps out and then when Tmo thinks they have had enough time they will roll the OTA out to the rest of us poor souls.

Uninstall, turn off, turn on, reinstall? That's what I did and for whatever reason I stopped having issues after that 2.0 upgrade.

Isn't FBook nothing more than that same thing as going to m.facebook.com?
