I am commuting between Rockford, Dekalb/Sycamore, and Rochelle IL area.
Rockford's 3G coverage is below average at best. It is a somewhat hilly area, but it would seem the only way for me to use it is when I am driving, which is obviously a bad idea. Where I live at, I am stuck going in and out of GPRS/EDGE/3G All usually about a bar of service. Where my parents live, it's the same thing. Slow EDGE and 1-2 bars. This is in a very very busy part of town. (Rockford is decent sized) Calls, no problem, data use, blah!
DeKalb/Sycamore area seems strong. I noticed a small part where I went in and out in a small residential area.
Wish they would extend it out along 38 and to I39 and up to Rockford.
