Apple / Re: Apple Store for Education Cash Back

the 4% cash back makes a big difference when you're purchasing a $1200 laptop.
the cash back on the ipad is also great. it basically gives you back the money you spent in taxes.

I was looking at this phone too. Looks real nice. Check it out at the store first.

Is the streaming of netflix the same price if you're streaming on your phone? or is there like an app you buy for the phone?

Aperture is just like iphoto but of course you can do more. If you already have photoshop I would recommend Lightroom because you can interchange them. Like save your work in lightroom and open it in photoshop, which can be convenient.
I heard aperture is a good program to get if you're looking to edit photos

Is the cash back only good on computer purchases? or software too?

If you clicked on the link the deal says, get 3% cash back on your purchases from the apple ed store. So it's 3% cash back on your entire purchase, computers, software, hardware etc

I think they are cheaper at the education store, but not by that much. Anything helps though right

I have it. They gave me a nice deal. I wasn't gonna be outta contract until September. But i've been a customer since the early OMNI Point days, they gave me a all the above & waived a months service.

They waived a month of service? or an activation fee?

Question about the "cash back"...when do you see it reflected on your studentrate account? and when can you request to get it?

I saw this forum thread last week and tried to register on studentrate but I don't have an .edu email address but I saw on the registration now there's a button you can click that says incoming freshman, and it allows you to use a regular email to register. I thought I'd share for those who aren't students.
