Since im currently jobless right now, i have no clue until i start makin money again.. but for me, im guessin between Sept.-Nov... as for the selection, it'll be the $549 price cuhz i have about 14 months til' im outta contract (also, so i don't lose my $5.99 internet plan)..

does anyone know if the $5.99 internet will work for the TP2? i heard it should

Hop, I'm going to get my TP2 Wed. Purchasing mine out right so I can keep my cheap internet plan. I will see if my $2.99 plan will work.  If so you will be the first to know.

I would like to know also. If it works though, would you get 3g speeds or edge? If it's the latter then i think i'm gonna get the verizon or sprint version with the 3.5mm jack since it'll be on edge either way.

That is incorrect.  Both the Sprint and Verizon TP2 will be running on CDMA networks which are completely incompatible with EDGE which is a GSM technology.  CDMA does have it's own slower speeds that are analogous to EDGE though.

Really? I could have sworn some people were using the bb storm on at&t with EDGE. Isn't the tp2 for verizon a world phone though?

No, I'm not sure.  I have been using my $2.99 Unlimited T-Zones with my MDA since day one to get on the net and get my email.  Since my MDA gave up the ghost a few weeks ago I got my SDA out and set it up to get on-line using the T-Zones also. I have two lines with the $2.99 Unlimited T-Zones and one with the $5.99 Unlimited T-Zones.  Since this is a new headset and newer OS then my old MDA I really don't know if I can get the TP2 to get on-line with the same T-Zones and if I can will it be 3G.  I plan on trying thou.

Hey, Hop I supposedly have a Dash 3G coming my way.  I was going to sell it as soon as I got it, but I started thinking about trying my SIM in it to see if I can get my T-Zones working on it and if so see if it will go 3G. If it works then I would assume that the TP2 would work also.

Hopefully I will get the Dash 3G this week.  I will let you know what the results are.

I'm wondering the same for the new 9.99 unlimited web2go internet. My plan was to purchase the TP2 full retail and see if I can get the 9.99 internet at 3g speeds since that's the cheapest way to go and i can cancel the internet whenever i want without being locked to the new "data contract" for 2 years.

Did t-mobile remove the front facing camera on the htc touch pro 2?  I can't tell with the pics.   

I don't think any phone released in the US will have a front facing camera. We are not ready for video conference...yet.

How do i get the GPS to work the mgmaps? when i select GPS it says "GPS position not yet determined. Make sure the phone can receive/determine GPS information and the satellite signal strength is good, wait for a few seconds then try again."

im sure someone around here has it though. lets hope someone sees this.

I sent in my rebate and apparently forgot to include the SKU number. I don't know how to find it since i cut out the barcode thing and sent the whole thing with the IMEI along with it. So can anybody tell me the SKU # for the samsung behold espresso.

You're correct. The behold has the 25 or 35 dollar plan and that's it. The 10 dollar plan is for dumbphones with 100mb limit per month. I wanted to switch to the 10$ plan because i have the 25$ plan for the behold and it's not worth it. I'm going to jump on the next smartphone that tmobile releases. *wishes for it to be the BB storm*

I prefer google maps to mgmaps. Google maps is faster and better navigation in my opinion.

I had the same problem so I downloaded the modem driver on that page above^
Then connect the phone as PC studio not mass storage. It should be in your settings.
Then try again.

Yeah it's the same for me. I don't know why. I followed the exact steps in that other post. But anyway, I recommend anyone with a behold that surfs the web to do this trick. It makes browsing a much better experience because pictures are shown with real detail instead of a "dumbed" down version.

EDIT: I hope someone is able to "hack" the video quality of youtube. It kinda sucks lol.

Ill get some right now. To access the full browser, you cannot choose the web widget or the web icon on your home screen. You MUST go into menu and choose that web icon. The 2 on the homescreen are web2go only.

really? I don't see any difference whether or not i choose the browser from the home screen or the one from the menu. I still get full html from the home screen one. Or maybe i don't know what i'm talking about lol. Here's a few sample pics from my home screen browser. The screen looks pixelated because i zoomed out trying to capture the entire webpage.

Anybody find a newer version that works better on the Behold?  Otherwise this worked great as described.  Thanks for the directions and help........

I found the newer files.  Here is the link to the two files for 2.3.2 that work on the Behold Touch Screen using the directions at the beginning of this thread.

I can't download the jad file. The jar file is fine but when i click that link it takes me to a 404 page.
