i work at bestbuy.... we don't always offer the same thing the carriers offers... so i think every one would be better off ordering from tmobile.. that what i did.. save my time hunting a bestbuy that carries tmobile because not every single store has tmobile phones... only prepaid!!

Yes, you can. i order mine without data plan.
My bad. Maybe I should have said you won't have a working phone without a data plan. But buy all means let us know how it works out without one.
maybe every 1 should stop making clams about what the phone will do and can not do until it actually comes out and we can try it out and get real answers!!

Yup i agree and most likely people can use there iphone as an ipod less things to carry

i highly doubt they would change the sim card on the g1 just to get 3g that would mean they would have to change the sim card on the 3g phones they have out now... from what i know they didnt change em... my guess... it would be the same and there not gonna change it
