Anyone else trying to get it at midnight online at 11/15?

Am I a fool for trying?

Dell Venue / Any way to buy VP online on 11/8?

Updated their website at midnight and you can now order a couple phones.  However, the VP is missing, any chance we can get this thing on 11/8 if we aren't in a city with a retail Microsoft store?

How soon after wp7 launch can we expect this phone?

Although, I fell in love with the dell lightening back in April, I am worried it will become outdated much faster than phones coming out around the same time.  It goes back to the processor, limiting OS speed and network speed (lack of hspa+ on 1st gen snapdragons).

Feel like this and HD7 are the 2 powerhouses on wp7, why not more details on this one?

Technology is always advancing, at what point do you stop waiting and just buy the device? By the time you wait for a better processor a newer, faster one is announced, would you wait for that as well? Nothing so far suggests any WP7 device is hurting by using a 1st gen Snapdragon, by the time MS certifies the next gen it could be a year. Better to buy and enjoy then upgrade to something when its proven to give better performance, rather than just going by theoretical benefits based on specs alone.

ehh, i believe you have a valid point but this is different.  The snapdragon has been around for sometime, as in, it was used in windows mobile 6.5 on the HD2.  Also, most of the newer high end t-mobile phones will come with hspa+.

Maybe if you were arguing buying a intel processor right now instead of waiting for their new chipset architecture in Q2 2011 but we are talking about technologies that will or already are standard on high end phones.

I thought it was a Nov. 17 release also.

Source?

I have only seen or heard vague mentions of "holiday 2010"
