Phone face-off / Re: myTouch HD or G2

I appreciate all of the input. The biggest the thing I'm struggling with is needing a new phone soon. I loved the G1. For two years it has been very good to me and I never had any problems out of mine. I just feel its getting to be on its last legs and there are so many apps I can't even get access to in the market because of it running on 1.7. And I can't ever get them unless I find an .apk file on the internet somewhere. I loved the physical keyboard and the ability to have a soft keyboard as well. Having that option is great!

The reason I enjoy the feature of an FFC is just because its something out there that is new and fresh. I know the possibilities of its usage are dim as of now, I'm sure it will grow just as everything else does. I don't like that the FFC will probably only be 1.3 megapixels max....or thats what the EVO has anyway.

And as far as sense is concerned, having a G1 obviously doesn't give me the ability to use HTC sense so I don't have an opinion. Sense is and probably never will be a deal breaker for me just because I have used phones without it and don't see it as necessary.

Oh and another question. Any word on if the screen will be multi-touch or not?

Phone face-off / myTouch HD or G2
« on: September 15, 2010, 04:21:13 am »
So for a while I have been dead set on getting the G2. I have the G1 currently, and felt what better replacement than the phone that is a successor by name. But after reading some specs on the myTouch HD such as the dual core processor, front-facing camera, and the genius button I am a bit undecided. Is there a comparison thread of the two anywhere? I also have a few questions about the myTouch HD. Would it have LED flash as the G2 does? Has there been a release date set for the myTouch HD yet?

What, in your opinion, is the best way to go?
