T-Mobile's greedy quest for money continues.
According to the blog:
http://www.tmonews.com/2010/10/t-mobile-data-plans-revamping-november-3rd/the unlimited $10 dumbphone plan will no longer be offered starting November 3rd. T-Mobile is replacing it with a 200 MB plan that charges overages of $10 per 100 MB ($30 per month cap.)
T-Mobile also gives any phone the option of using the 5GB plan ($30 per month on Even More, $25 per month on Even More Plus.)
This new plan does NOTHING to compete with AT&T's low cost data plan. AT&T has a $15 per month 200 MB plan that can be used on ANY phone including smartphones.
T-Mobile's new plan can only be used on dumbphones and phones like the Nuron and Charm. Any premium smartphones must use the $30/$25 plan.
Even Verizon has a new $15 plan that can be used with their smartphones. Only T-Mobile restricts smartphones to the highest priced plans.
If you need a data plan on your dumbphone line, add it before November 3
