Nexus S / Nexus S (T-Mobile version) ICS upgrade
« on: April 30, 2012, 11:17:27 am »
What's the current T-Mobile Nexus S 2.3 ROM name? The phone I saw shows that ICS is ready to be installed, but when you go to install it, and it reboots, a yellow triangle with an exclamation point shows up. It won't install.

The ROM name shows something weird for Gingerbread. We bought the Nexus S online from ebay, and the seller said they didn't know if the phone was rooted or if a custom ROM was installed.

The Circus (lounge) / Anyone purchase a TV from Costco?
« on: March 31, 2011, 09:35:44 am »
I am looking at buying a Vizio 32in tv from Costco. They say on their site, that they give you a 2-year warranty (1 year OEM, and 1 year Costco). What I am wondering, is if Vizio is good as a TV brand, and how is Costco as retailer for electronics.

I used to watch WWE, years ago. When they changed the time to Friday, it got boring. I remember years ago, when "Too Cool", Rikishi, The Big Show, Cactus Jack (Mick Foley), and others used to be on Smackdown.

The funniest ones were when Vince couldn't stand Triple H, and Triple H kidnapped Stephanie, and he married her while she was unconscious. Then after that Stephanie was in love with him.

AT&T has a ton of spectrum already.

AT&T and Qualcomm have filed an official request with the Federal Communications Commission in hopes that the agency will approve AT&T's planned purchase of Qualcomm's 700MHz spectrum in some markets. Qualcomm owns two 700MHz spectrum blocks that combined cover 300 million Americans. AT&T wants the spectrum to supplement its existing 700MHz spectrum for its forthcoming LTE network.

I can't stand them.

The Circus (lounge) / Orange and Grape Sodas

I look at the nutrition facts on the orange and grape sodas, and noticed that they are among the highest sugar containers when compared to Pepsi, Coke, etc.

I looked at Sunkist Orange soda and the bottle said it has 84 grams of sugar per bottle. wow.

Nexus One / Android music files
« on: February 04, 2011, 02:56:56 pm »
Prior to a system update on my Nexus One, I used to be able to play .M4A files, as well as MP3 files. Now, I can't get most of my songs to play in any Android music player. They will show up in the file explorer, but if I play, them, they will play them, but won't show any album art, or song info. It just plays with no info.

On Android's support site, it says Android only supports MP3 files. My phone used to work with M4A non-protected, and MP3 songs.

Heck, even some of my MP3 songs won't get recognized by Tunewiki, or the default music app.

I know that many states only give you 14 day trial periods, but why is California the only state to allow 30 day returns?

The Federal Communications Commission today announced plans to hold a spectrum auction starting on July 19, 2011. The FCC is looking to sell 16 licenses in the 698MHz - 806MHz range. It is seeking public comment on what procedures should be put in place for the auction. The licenses in question offer 12MHz of bandwidth in 2 by 6MHz pairings. Block A has two licenses that ranges from 698-704MHz and 728-734MHz. Block B has 14 licenses that range from 704-710MHz and 734-740MHz. The FCC is referring to this auction as Auction 92. Both Verizon Wireless and AT&T have 700MHz spectrum holdings and are using them for their Long Term Evolution networks.

They need to get some 700MHz spectrum. AWS isn't cutting it.
