Phone face-off / Behold VS. Curve 8900
« on: April 07, 2009, 05:45:28 pm »
I'm honestly having a hard time deciding.

I currently have the Samsung Behold but the Curve 8900 seems to interest me because of the PDA functionality and physical keyboard.

I mainly looking for excellent call quality/signal/battery life. (The Behold lives up to my standards regarding these issues).
In addition to that, I want a camera where I can take random pictures without too much blur.

I'm not a big fan of the Behold's touchscreen keyboard nor the Curve's physical keyboard. Although if I had to choose, I would rather have a physical keyboard. Also, I like the big screen on the Behold. Buuuut! I like the fact that the Curve 8900 has a brighter vivid screen.

I personally like the TouchWiz interface as it is quite "fun" and easy to use; however, having I believe I would be better off with a smartphone OS (even though I do not like the plain user interface on the Blackberry).

I also have a 32gb iPod Touch where I use for Calendar, To Do's, heavy WiFi browsing (Safari and checking E-mails) and some other apps (games, myspace, yahoo connect, etc.).

I do not have a data plan on T-Mobile's network, nor do I plan on getting one anytime soon. So 3G wouldn't really do me any good.

So basically, should I keep the Behold+iPod Touch or get a Curve 8900 so it can be somewhat a combination of both devices?
Will I be able to check my email on the Curve 8900 w/o a data plan?

If someone can, may you post a 2 pictures taken by the camera on both devices side by side comparing the picture quality of 8900 and Behold? Preferably a picture of the same object, light conditions, etc.
