Vibrant / Update today?

Is anyone else getting an update on their Vibrant today?

Just did mine...things look the same.

Vibrant / Call Waiting

I'm having trouble with call waiting on my phones.  The wife and I both have the Vibrant and both have this issue.

If someone is calling in while we are on the phone, you move the phone from your face and it should light up and allow me to answer.  They don't.  

I have to hit the power button a couple of times to make it light up and allow me to answer.  Is there a way to turn the lock screen off or anything like that?  I hate having to unlock the stupid thing.  I find the touch screen unresponsive.

Also, I can not copy/paste in the browser by a long touch.  I have to go through the menu, and if I select the wrong thing go BACK through the menu.

I copy and paste tracking numbers and so forth constantly and use my phone for work 24/7 and this is something that I need to work with the smoothness of iOS.

One more thing...is anyone's charger loose?  Mine sits on the desk plugged in and dings in and out of being charged.

Customer Service / Retention hits a home run distance foul ball

Called customer care a while ago and spoke with a nice lady who heard me out on my concerns and then offered me TWO Vibrants at $99.00 each.  No contract extension or anything and I'm on the Even More plan. 

I thought to myself "wow...this is pretty good!" 

Then she said that the phones were out of stock without an ETA on availability and told me I could try to get a store to do it but I wouldn't have much luck.  She was dead on in that category. 

Way to go T-Mobile.  Offer me something that you can't deliver on. 

I'm out.  I've had enough.

The Circus (lounge) / New phone - input request

Have an iphone 3G that is 90% dead. 

I want a phone without physical keyboard and the largest screen available. 

I want something FAST.

I have considered the Droid X or the Evo but I am VERY reluctant to leave T-Mobile after being with them so long.

Anyone been to the other side and have any input for me on phone selection?  I don't think I can wait another month for the G2 or the MT HD. 

Am I insane to try the HD2 out if I'm coming from an iPhone?
