Hmmm... How do I like the slim version..
I love everything... the quietness (i can actually watch my netflix movies without my xbox being louder than the movie). The touch buttons (and the sound fx even make it better... The glossy finish is nice, but the fingerprints is a drag (but my coming decal will fix that)
The only issue I had was like you mentioned, the embedded wifi.
The xbox that i had was running on an adapter, and i was getting like 3/5 bars of signal (my room was in the basement)..
When I hooked up my new slim console, the wifi is so weak on it (i was getting 1-2 bars, and everytime i would play a game, i would get booted because my connection lagged me out) I had to turn around and buy a full house coverage modem, which set me back an extra 100.00, but now with it, i get almost full signal strength on my slim. I think that was my only problem. But other than that, i love it.

I just recently bought me a slim because my white console was doing the 3 red lights.. That is actually cause from overheating.. I disected my xbox, cleaned it out, and it still does it.. Only with mine tho, I can still play for like an hour, before it shuts off randomly and blinks red. :/

US District Court Judge Vaughn R. Walker certified a national class-action lawsuit to go forward regarding the Madden series. The suit contends that Electronic Arts' exclusive contract to create NFL football games is an "illegal price-gouging scheme" and that gamers who purchased a Madden game, an NCAA Football game, and an Arena Football game after 2005 are entitled to compensation for EA's supposed unfair practices.
The suit was originally filed in June 2008, and contends that EA's deal with the NFL is "blatantly anti competitive conduct." Before the exclusive deal, EA and Take-Two Interactive were seemingly in a price war with their NFL games: Take-Two dropped the price of NFL 2K5 to $19.99 and EA cut Madden 2005's sticker tag to $29.95 in response. With the license in place, and the competition effectively destroyed, the suit alleges that EA then raised the price of its product to its current $59.99
"We believe EA forced consumers to pay an artificial premium on Madden NFL video games," Attorney Hagens Berman said. "We intend to prove that EA could inflate prices on their sports titles because these exclusive licenses restrained trade and competition for interactive sports software."

Well, the time has come. Anybody pick it up? I picked mine up at Walmart at midnight, received a free poster, a free Beanie, and a free 20 dollar gift card. So far, this game is epic.
