Are you talking about the Galaxy Nexus that can be purchased directly from Google and works on T-Mobile?

HD2 / Re: how do i add ringtones like my music ?
« on: March 31, 2010, 10:34:18 pm »
Hey, just noticed that if you long press a song (when in File Explorer) an option comes up to "Set as Ringtone".  I haven't had a chance to check out if it copies the song to another file or just makes a shortcut, but it does add it to your choice of ringtones.

Should have asked this earlier as well - sorry.

Should I or do I have to manually keep track of all my downloads or will my Google account have record of that?

]To reset or "wipe" your phone ... hit menu>sd card and phone storage>factory data reset. It might help ya out

When I "wipe," will it take me all the way back to the original version and build or will it keep 1.5?

I've been having problems with my phone after I loaded cupcake as well.  I didn't get it via OTA...I got it from android guys.  Should I wipe or reset my phone to get some speed back as well.  If I should wipe, how do I do that?

Any help is appreciated because I'm starting to really dislike this phone because of the speed and problems.  I haven't been able to get my gmail for over a month and T-Mobile says there working on it.

I'm having the same problem.  I called tech support and they said there were notes that there is definitely an issue with gMail connectivity.  According to what she read, there has been a problem since April 28th.  Hopefully it will get fixed soon.

G1 Discussion / G1 Sync with Outlook
« on: November 11, 2008, 02:10:14 pm »
Companion Link Software supposedly has the ability to sync the G1 with Outlook client.  The web address is www.companionlink.com.  They have a 14-day trial version and the ability to purchase for $29.95.  Sounds like your PC would need to be on for the sync to continue but I do that during the week anyway.  Has anybody heard of this or tried it already?

I plan on checking it out and I'll let you know how/if it works.

I read the G1 was ready for a 16gig, but hadn't heard anything about a 32gig.  That's a lot of memory packed in such a small device.  Thanks again for your help...now I just have to find one.

Sorry if this has already been asked and answered...

Has anybody found a 16gb micro card for the G1 yet?  Also, I've found a few 8gb SDHC micro cards, but don't know if the G1 works with HC cards.  Anybody out there know the answer to that?

I received my phone on Friday, Nov 7th - it was on RC28.  I just got the RC30 update first thing this morning.  Didn't have the phone long enough to see what, if anything changed.

G1 Discussion / Re: G1 a tech flop?
« on: November 03, 2008, 02:19:16 pm »
While I agree with rushmore that a 3.5mm jack has turned some people off to this phone, I don't agree with the article.  No way they can decide after only 2 weeks that its a flop.  I think CNN Money just likes getting our web hits.  As for purchasing an adapter that is under $10 it's still a pain considering it doesn't have to be done with the majority of smartphones out there.  It should work out of the box IMO.  Plus, the adapter is just one more piece to lose or break and then have to buy another.

That is correct, but it is just a 90 day exclusive like most Blackberry exclusive deals.

Whew...that makes me feel a little better.  Now I just have to cool my jets and wait an additional 90 days from the date AT&T gets it.  Seems as though AT&T is doing everything they can to take customers by getting the best phones.

I apologize if this is the wrong forum, but I just read in the August 2008 release of PCWorld that AT&T will be the exclusive carrier for the Blackberry Bold.  I know these writers get the information wrong sometimes, but this really concerns me.  I think the Javelin is one sweet phone, but the prospect of FINALLY having 3G makes me want the Bold.  I hope that this information is not true about AT&T.  Has anybody out there heard whether this is true or not??
