I had a customer come in once and said they dropped it and the screen didnt work. i told him that since he dropped it, physical damage is not covered under and would more than likely have a $100 oow cost. So he just bought a new one. I then turned around and tried sending to Motorola and would pay to have it fixed. In the end Motrola lost the phone and was obligated to send me a new one - but they sendty the WHIOLE package, including the retail box! I game out ahead in the scene!!
So you used a customers old phone to get yourself a new phone? Am I reading that right? For some reason, that just doesn't sound right....shouldn't those go back to be reconditioned and resold or something?
No. The phone was left to be thrown away since it was garbage. - i mean recycled - I took the phone home as a parts phone, but when I realized a couple weeks later when I got to it, it was perfectly fine cosmetically in and out. So I decided to see if Motorola would fix it, and at what cost. I piad the shipping to send it in. They lost it and decided to give me a new one. I had to place the phone calls on my own time and talk with motos representatives. This was never done on company time. I also work as an indirect if that clears anything more up.
