Customer Service / $10 Blackberry Prepaid Plan Available Now.
« on: June 22, 2011, 02:06:34 pm »
Holy bojangles it's been forever since I've posted!

T-Mobile is offering a $10 prepaid Blackberry plan. If your a BB owner that's looking to cut down on the bill this could be the route if you buy your phones used or new at full price like me.

I checked it out and I  would save $27 switching to the 1500 Talk @ text w/30MB of data (I don't use more than 16MB anyways) and the BB add on would be $40 vs the $67 after my AAA discount and taxes.

I would just need to switch the @home line to my Sis's account b4 I do this...

Tried it for the month I had it. It was fine. No problems with the service provided. However losing most of the Blackberry Functionality made me go back to T-Mo.

If you have a regular device and need a cheap provider this is it.

Just got it today. As soon as I move my @home line to my sis's account I'll get this activated and we'll see if the new MVNO is up to par.

This happens all the time and it is valid. When you are roaming internationally when you get a voicemail you are charged 1 minute and your charged for voicemail calls.

The only way to prevent this is to turn the cell radio on your phone OFF or keep your phone completely off. Otherwise you get stuck.

Thats the prices corporate sets and the Reps have no control over it. The reason Walmart and 3rd party retailers is that they are given "kickbacks" in either commision or other for retaining or renewing customers, Then they use part of the "kickback" to lower the price of the phone to get into their store so you can buy the phone, And the cycle repeats. Look at all the 3rd party websites and retailers and you'll see every phone from almost every carrier is cheaper than the actual company stores.

Economics 101.  (Plus having the entitlement mentaility doesn't help)

EDIT: Also why not just go and get the lower priced phone? I don't see that you we're mistreated in anyway I most likely would've said the same thing.

Call Tmo and ask for the financial dept. Ask what can be done.

Also might help reducing your expenses aswell...

I hate to bump this thread, But I have to clarify my last post and update on Simple Mobile.

First When I said affiliate of Tmobile thats incorrect. I was thinking of i Wireless.  :-X

Also Simple Mobile just announced themselves yesterday. Since you can use Blackberries it might be tempting to see if You can get all the BB/Text/Calling goodness for $50 (or $55 if your over 20MB)

Looks like they went active a few days ago. With phones from a cheap Nokia for $49.99 to a Pearl Flip 8220 for $219.99

For $50 a month I'd be saving about $20 a month from Tmobile. I can xfer the @home line to my sis's account.

I've gone ahead and ordered the SIM card kit and the $50 monthly plan. As soon as I get it up and running I'll report back and see if they are good or eeeeevil :).

MotoZINE's are $50 with a contract. Just go in and sign up for a 2 line account. Nothing special needed!

Are you looking to get a contract phone yourself or keep the Renew?
