HD2 / Re: Official HD2 update
« on: May 16, 2010, 02:16:43 pm »
The problem with the keypad not working during calls happens when you do one of those teaks from the "what to do first" thread on HTCHD2Form.com I can't remember whitch one,  but I had the same problem and found the fix some were, but I don't remember were.
*UPDATE*
1. My phone froze during a phone call, had to pull the battery out. (Previous problem with my very first HD2)
2. When I attempted to change the volume via the volume rocker, my phone became unresponsive-it did not freeze completely but everything became extremely slow.  I had to soft reset 3 times in order for the software to actually work and allow me to use the volume rocker. (Previous problem with both HD2's running the original ROM and now the updated ROM).  I now wondering if it has to do with one of my cab files...
*I'm texting everyone that I know to determine if the text/freeze issue has been resolved.  Some are reporting it has not been resolved...

lmao at T Mizzle-I absolutely feel you with the dentist comment...

Fortunately, my biggest issue was reinstalling my contacts via SENSE and linking them with Facebook.  That and having to put all of my favorite blog sites back as favorites in Opera, passwords, etc.  I only had a few cabs to reinstall, not too bad for me-about an hour total.

So far, I have not noticed any real difference with the radio or battery life.  I'm a heavy user and have 2 batteries so...

One thing I have noticed, there is a decrease in the sensitivity with the touch screen.  I feel that I do have to press and hold a tad longer to register a touch.  I notice when typing, kinetic scrolling (especially), etc.

Some are already reporting a fix in freezing, texting, etc.  Obviously, the more users that upgrade and use this new ROM, the better it will be for us to assess...

*much thanks to TmoNews for getting this out to the community!
I think it must be something you installed I had the problem when making a call i couldnt use the touch screen at all until i hung up. I decided to hard reset the phone and saw that the problem went away so i installed  one app at time and check if everything was fine. dont install junk if you dont use it.

All you need to do is go into a contact and hit edit contact. Then hit the portrait in the upper right corner. A menu will pop up with four different options to add a photo.

HD2 / Re: List of DO NOT installs for the TmoUS HD2
« on: March 29, 2010, 04:06:10 pm »
Thanks for that. I did the minimumtaptime tweak last night and could not figure out why I couldn't use any of the on screen buttons while on a call. Changed it back and it seems to be working know. That's why I hope we can get a descent amount of info for the US version. 90% of info is for Europe and who knows how much of that is relevant for the US.

HD2 / Re: e-mail account set-up
« on: March 26, 2010, 03:42:14 pm »
I'm having problems setting up my e-mail account. My primary e-mail goes through a msn account. It won't allow me to set it up. But if I try to set up my other yahoo account, it sets up without any problems. Talked to CS, they suggested to exchage the phone (good luck, becuase they are sold out) and see if they solves the problem. If it doesn't I just might exchange HD2 for another Android phone while there is no problems with the e-mail accounts. No point in having a high-end phone and not being able to retrieve my e-mail. My G1 had no problem with this.

I have the exact opposit problem. My MSN email works great, but my Yahoo wont setup.

You can go to settings/menu/all settings then go into clock and alarm and check the top box. This will put the time upon the top bar, but you will not be able to see the battery indicator.

Sorry you need to go to the more tab on the bottom of the clock & alarm screen.

Any one know what this is about http://twitpic.com/191e1r from WMExperts tweet of tonight's event? I thought the Memory was supposed to be 1g, 576g. This looks like the memory specs for the European version.

ladyjay you need to have Anti-Shake and WDR off to enable the ISO setting option. That is one of the draw backs. You have to sacrifice Anti-Shale for correct lighting.

I assume you are talking about indoor pictures. You just have to kind of play with you settings to get the correct lighting. ISO setting is an important one as 400 or 800 will usually do a pretty good job. Also turning up the brightness setting will help out as well.

« on: June 03, 2009, 09:07:50 am »
Nothing really. The 5.99 plan was the only plan available a couple of years ago. I guess the only difference is the 5.99 plan is no more and all you can get is the more expensive plans now. Some people have reported problems accessing 3rd parting web apps. on the Behold and Memoir with the 5.99 plan and have speculated that TMO is trying to push people to the more expensive plans. I haven't had any problems and I can still access apps like Amaze and Opera Mini.

You can't add providers that aren't already in the phone. There is no POP3 support. Going through the internet wood be the only way for her to see her email.

« on: April 21, 2009, 08:11:11 am »
yea see, you should wait... the firmware came out for the pixon a couple of months after the phone was release... so there should be one out soon I would guess to fix any bugs etc.

I would doubt it. How long has the Behold been out now and they still don't have an update. Unless you get a new phone.

Samsung-Memoir.com is also pretty dead. This phone is so much like the Behold everyone just goes there to find answers to there questions I guess.

Yes it should work. I have the 5.99 T-Zones on my Memoir and it works just fine. I think T-Mobile tries to get people to use the more expensive data plans anyway.

I got Google Map, MGMaps, and OperaMini loaded tonight. Got it on my first try. Trying to play around with some games know. I got one to work, but it was impossible to play, and another one just hung while loading so I guess the search goes on.

I had a Motorola ZN3 and I think this phone is about 1 to 1 1/2 bars lower than that one. But even with one or no bar showing I can still make calls and access the net. No real problems with dropped calls.

We have the same problem. It is only lock mode though. You can change your desktop wallpaper unlike the early Beholds.
