I know Verizon and AT&T don't really give much as far as early upgrades, or old features.

Had a few conversations with friends that work at each.

Verizon I know for a fact you get ONE rerate for overage in your entire life history for example, with Tmobile we're much more lenient.

Grandfathered plans you may be able to keep with other companies, but they don't offer them to customers like we do.

IMHO we're way too nice to customers. Which is why we've been bleeding financially for a while.

T-Mobile Services / Re: Canceling Contract
« on: June 23, 2010, 12:27:58 pm »
Yes you can cancel your contract right on the next day after your contract expired. Your bill will be prorated.

The bill will not be prorated unless it's flexpay.

As of Feb the billing system now bills for the entire cycle, regardless of when the cancel was done.

Wow I was just starting a post about this when I opened this thread in another tab.

I. Am. Pissed.

They tell me 6 months tenure and good payment history to switch... I talked to the manager's manager and all I could get was something like "once you are eligible, then your account will be added to the list of random accounts that are randomly selected to be switched over." That is bull. My contract is up in like a month. What the hell man? 23 months tenure and not a single missed payment? If they can't fix it within the month, I feel it might finally be time for me to move on. I don't know what else to do. I will save a ton of money by leaving and getting my 4 line family plan somewhere else if all T-Mobile can do is suggest that I open ANOTHER account and just pay for 2, 2-line family plans. esfjkabdsibgjaskjegbaksjdgb so mad.

Lol. If you're contract is up and you want to activate four lines, and don't want to do it as 2 accounts then either wait or take the lines elsewhere. You'll pay more monthly somewhere else but you'll get your 4 lines on one account.

They haven't given us a "why" or "how" as to when flexpay accounts become eligible to convert the postpaid.

There's just a excel sheet on our internal site with a list of millions of bans. they updated every couple months.

Other than that we have no way of knowing when you're eligible.

Good to hear it :)

Any customer asking about unreleased phones I usually send here, and note that it's not an official tmobile site, to take everything with a grain of salt.

The news is on here far before reps ever get it, we're lucky to get news of a new phone a week before it's out.

Hours have been 1am-6am CST since I've worked there, there was a period last year when they shortened it two hours.

I work until close, and about the last 2 hours calls die down quite a bit.

« on: May 25, 2009, 04:38:11 am »
You call in to ask me to transfer you to CLT I'm going to tell you no. You say you're going to cancel if I don't, I'll ask when you want it effective.

If you want to continue having Tmobile as a company stop trying to rip them off.

As for the ULO plans, the loyalty plan and 135.00 port in are still available as of today.

T-mobile Deals / Re: Wirefly.Com Deals
« on: May 17, 2009, 02:25:51 am »
With Wirefly, you're also signing a contract with them along with T-Mobile.  So if you make any changes to your plan, like removing a feature, they can charge you $250 for breaking your contract with them.  And if you cancel the line, you're gonna have to pay $450.

You're better off going with letstalk.com - and then walking in to a T-Mobile store and asking them to price match. I'm sure they will, as long as they can verify what you're talking about, and you gotta keep the plan required through letstalk.

Retail stores aren't allowed to price match websites, we can only match ads from other stores like best buy or an authorized dealer.
Just a few questions about price matching. :3 I hope you don't mind.
Would a T-Mobile retail store be able to match the price for a Samsung Behold going for $78.88 at Wal-Mart if I bring in a picture of the price tag?
Would it work if I am planning to add a line to my account?
Since Wal-Mart require you to purchase a data plan along with it, will T-Mobile require it as well?

I don't know how wal-mart is still in business with those prices. I haven't heard of a store matching wal-mart prices however.

T-mobile Deals / Re: What to do?

We've got plenty of phones coming in the next few months, and I imagine some of our current phones will drop in price.

If the phone you have now is working fine there is really no reason to get a new phone. Save it for christmas or a lost phone.

BB8320 is a great device and I recommend it to anyone looking to buy a new phone, having had one over a year with no issues.

Fail kids are fail.

Most of the pricing for Loyalty is the same as our upgrade pricing atm because of the economy. You basically get the 18.00 upgrade fee waived....the phone base might be 10.00 different?

Pay the 200.00 ETF and get a new phone somewhere else, or buy it at the discount you're eligible for now.
