I received this promotion at the beginning of the week for a T-Mobile iPhone 5 with special 10% discount.

No contract plan - Simply Choice

iPhone5 @ $149 with $20.00 Monthly Payment for 24 months with 10% discount on bill + no activation fees

Flyer says you have to order over the phone at 866.464.8662 and use the promo code 13997 TMO FAV in order to get the 10% discount and order the iPhone, you can't redeem that discount code online. You have to mention that you are a member of Studentrate to get the deal. get all the info at http://www.studentrate.com/itp/get-itp-student-deals/iPhone-Discounts-for-T-Mobile--/0

Okay that makes sense I guess. I found a couple of other threads menitoning this promo, especially on the T-Mobile forum so I think it' slegit. Do you know if it will work on like a family plan? I might try to get my sisters the discount too...

Hey everyone,

So i just got into a grad program at UCLA and they gave me a new .edu email address. I am switching carriers soon and I did a little research to see what I could get as a student. It seems like T-Mobile is offering a 10% student discount + waived activation fees + a $50 account credit (which may or may not expire pretty soon that i m not sure.) Verizon is giving 10% as well, and Sprint is impossible to figure out.

As of right now I am going with T-Mobile. To get that discount I found, you have to call customer service @ 1 866 464 8662 and use the promo code 13997 TMOFAV. Does anyone have any experience using this discount? If so, please share it here! Thank you

Thanks for the discount. I don't know about using Netflix on your phone but I've been wanting to try it for my tv.

A 10% discount sounds pretty good. How do I become a member of studentrate? and do I actually have to be a student?

Funny, I just heard this rumor today at work. Wonder if it will really happen.
