HTC HD7 / Re: Screen SLCD or Regular LCD?

Its regular, but i dont think it makes much of a difference with wp7 for the background is just black

It makes a difference if you want deeper blacks.

Yeah i was actually more interested in what happens when you get 2 messages at the same time and also where the notifications go after they bar is gone (like one centralized location?). Dont see that in this vid but thanks!

You're referring to tile notifications and i think raw notifications. theres definitely toast notifications, ive seen it in a couple vids where youre on the home screen and you receive a notification, a bar will appear for a little while then disappear. this is the toast notification im referring to.

Windows Phone 7 / Toast notification behavior?
« on: October 12, 2010, 09:08:02 pm »
Ok so I've been looking for videos on this but can't find it.

Anyone know how WP7 handles multiple notifications at once?
Also, if you wait too long the toast notification disappears. How do you check your notifications after that?

Thanks

HTC HD7 / Re: HTC HD7 and Schubert Headed To Tmobile US?

Mentioning of it in the docs is a good sign but I'm assuming the OS supports it so that dev's like skype, fring, etc. can utilize it.

There was a reason i had a "?" after the statement because i wasn't in 100% agreement with the blog post either. I was more wondering other peoples thoughts. It could be that the vids we've been seeing is the Euro version and the US/T-mobile version will include features as per T-mobile's request.

So a lot of people have been complaining that the HD7 is only the HD2 with WP7 (I understand why that argument is made), but aparently there will be a new feature or two? (i.e. ffc <- for all the people complaining about it) http://www.wirelessgoodness.com/2010/10/04/htcs-pd29110-windows-phone-7-device-hits-the-fcc-on-its-way-to-t-mobile/

aww don't get soo butt hurt.. don't take it seriously, lol smh.. anyways.. i see conflicting info.. the video clearly says its a Schubert.. but the info on engadget says the HD7 is actually the Schubert.. but shouldn't it say HD7 in the system info? hmm...

No worries. Here's what I've gathered thus far:

-Schubert = HD7
-Schubert (HD7) has T-mobile US 3G frequency
-Schubert is on the leaked T-mobile US roadmap
-Leaks are coming out now confirming that Mozart is the 3.7" screen (http://help.orange.co.uk/orangeuk/support/personal/520157)

so the Mozart is the euro version of the Schubert

I'm pretty sure they're two separate phones. Mozart: 3.7" screen; Schubert: 4.3" screen

?? no... Schubert is 3.7".. same screen size and look of the Mozart.. HD7 is the 4.3"er.. where've u been?

This is from one of the leaked pics of the HD7. If you look under "Info" it specifically says HTC Schubert. The HD7 and Mozart are obviously 2 different devices. Thus my conclusion.

PS - The "where've u been?" was uncalled for.

Galaxy Tab / Samsung Galaxy Tab for T-Mobile OFFICIAL!!!
« on: September 16, 2010, 06:30:06 pm »
Latest tweet from @TMobile:

"Our first tablet! Android-powered Samsung Galaxy Tab coming to T-Mobile this holiday season."

Tablets galore!

PS: Maybe we should update this section to "Upcoming Devices" rather than "Upcoming Phones"? Just a thought.

Qualcomm says no devices is launching with dual-core until early next year, but yet at the same time this would be the 2nd HTC phone speculated to run a dual-core setup within the same month with the other being the HD3.  Sounds like HTC isn't telling us something?  Or rather, isn't the 15th/tomorrow supposed to be a day they'd announce something?  So many questions so few little answers and so much time before this stuff is supposed to launch aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!!

I'm pretty sure the HD3 specs are fake. MTHD on the other hand seem more realistic.

Has anyone else been able to verify this? I see on Costco's website they say that the phone retails at $250 but it also says a 2 year contract is required for all phones.
